Hmm, Do you have any updates to install to GPhotos, the camera or maybe the system?

Its definitely a portrait photo? With the two images stacked?

Edit, this is what I have, like I said its P2XL but yours should be the same.

Yeah, deffo portrait photo, I can see the original, and the portrait has a little dot to denote that it's portrait. I get all those options apart from the depth slider.

Also, there is no call screening, I had a random call me, and I thouhth this is a great chance to try it out, but it didn't give me the option, I also got my friend to call, but still no screening option.

Phone is up to date according to the system update, and I've gone into the play store and no apps require an update also.

Strange, then I'm not sure I'm afraid. Mine says 'Pop' rather than Depth if its not a portrait photo. Maybe try taking another pic?

Call screening is US only for now isn't it?

Quick update, I've taken a couple of more photos, and now the depth slider is there, the pop slider has now disappeared.

I don't know if tapping to focus has unlocked it, but now I can get the portrait photos :)

Do you know when the call screening will come to the UK?

First impressions are very positive, phone is actually really light with the fabric cover.

It feels fast, and I'm not too bothered about the notch, you just get used to it, and your eyes are pretty much focused on the centre of the screen anyway.

I have tried nacho notch briefly, but I think I'll stick with the notch for the time being.

Im not too sure if I like the double swipe up to get to my apps, just feels a bit clunky at the moment. Just wish it was a simple swipe up for apps.

Is there a way to get the traditional nav buttons on the bottom, or is this gone forever now?

Someone please get me back to non-gesture mode.

As far as I recall you can get back to the old 3 button nav bar by a series of commands over ADB. Doing this will also revert the recent apps function to the order vertical stacked view as well I think.

Have to admit, the first time I swiped up and saw the recent apps I thought it was a pain

Are you finding all the gestures a pain? The apple users are loving theirs

The Apple gestures are perfectly implemented. This is far from it. My personal experience.

It's gonna take some getting used to that's for sure.

I like the squeeze feature, you can set it to a really light squeeze if you need the assistant.

Having never really used an iPhone 10, I can't say how it compares, but im guessing it's better than what we have now on the pixel.

I can see the potential though, the swipe right to switch between apps is good.

When you do swipe up, there is a row of predictive apps for quick access instead of the double swipe, over time when it learns your habits habits, it could be more useful.

As with everything, a few solid days of using it, I'm sure most people will get used to the gestures.

It's not great. But one long swipe achieves the same thing, although in practice I get it about 50% of the time.

I don't have a Pixel 3 phone yet, think I will buy one though. Anyway, on my current phone (Nokia 7 Plus), I just got Android 9 Pie on it and there is a setting in gestures to return the buttons back to how they were in Android 8. It's in Settings, System, Gestures and then "Swipe up on Home button". Turn that off if it's there. As far as I know, the Nokia runs pure Android like the Pixel devices.

I went to go get one of these today on my annual upgrade in the EE store but they didnt even have any in lol pffttt.

Someone on Reddit/XDA said the bulk of EE's stock was recalled by Google. Would explain the shortage with EE.
