I know my 6800gt isnt top of the range but was hopeing to at least play at 1024x768 with a bit of eye candy, but even at 800x600 it lags to hell and back. maybe a nvidia thing ?

Runs maxed with 8 x af and no aa @ 1280x1024 on my 7800 gtx. Smooth as, no lag at all. Thought it's ok but damn hard. Seems like one of those games where you're going to have to learn the levels through trial and error rather than barging your way through on the fly. But perhaps i just need to get to grips with the interface (which could be better controlled tbh) and the map.

I thought it ran pretty well, nice graphics and sounds. I dont like the first person view though, and the commands for the team mate's is garbage.

I much prefer the 360 version.

my initial reactions of the demo are :

very slow gameplay
nothing staggering in terms of graphics
interface seems quite hard to get used to.
Enemys seem to be super accurate at times

no tried co-op yet.

only played for about 20 mins but a little disapointed - will play some more tonight and see if things improve

i'm really not sure about all this triangle lark...can they be turned off? Maybe i don't want to always see where the enemies are.

Overall i think i quite like it, although i hardly got a chance to play. Seems a little clunky tbh, but i think multiplayer could be fun with the realism etc.

Yeah i agree, the screen seems too cluttered, and the triangles don't help.

I have to admit im a little dissapointed, Although i havent really given it a full go because I cant get the damn AA working

yes, i think the lack of aa is perhaps heightening our view of the demo as 'unpolished'. It would probably be the case that with 4xaa whacked on it would just give the game a better feel overall. As shallow as that sounds, i think it may well be the case.

I know what you mean, it does seem a little petty as i said before, but when im playing ANY game without AA, i cant help but be put off constantly thinking "damn this looks ugly"

I think they've perhaps deliberately used low res textures even when selecting high details. Perhaps full whack it kills systems so they didn't want to give that impression?

I have been reading the UbiSoft forums, turns out no one can use AA.

This is an absolute joke, i know it may seem shallow but I have cancelled my preorder because of this. Jaggies = Ugly. If the gameplay was amazing i would forgive it but the game is nothing special

I played last night and felt let down by the demo. I still think it's a good game but not even close to what I was expecting. I have not played the 360 game but from reviews and videos it looks far superior.

What I like about the game is:

Weapons sound good and just feel right
Large levels
Difficult and slow paced so it should take a while to finish

Dislikes

Graphically is not what I was expecting as it does not seem to have the depth and the quality of the 360 game. It feels a bit soulless and the demo level was very brown. Even the textures on high do not look that great. Weapons look nothing special.
AI - you really have to nanny your squad mates as they like standing out in the open taking fire and disregarding orders.

It runs fine on my setup as it should. All settings maxed 1600x1200 and 16xAF - 40 to 50 FPS - runs very smooth and not once did frames drop below 40. Those of you with lower specs should understandably be peeved with performance as this game should run better, considering it does not look better than HL2 except for the HDR and maybe the draw distances.

The PC game was developed by a seperate studio to the 360 game and I am fairly certain that the budget was a lower, and it shows.
