The Official GRAW Thread

I didn't think you could use the High textures? I sure can't select them, and judging by the download size of the demo, they aren't even included?

-RaZ

They are included but only 512mb graphics cards can enable this option. 256 and lower can only run on medium unless you manualy change it in one of the game files.

i had the 360 version and promptly returned it, us 360 users didnt get a better deal, i expected this to be much better on the PC , shame

You saying the PC version is worse than 360 version which you did not like.

Die hard Ghost Recon fans will disagree with me, but I think it could have done from being a little bit more arcadey. The squad management system didn't work too well for me :(

Runs perfectly for me (1900xtx) in 1920x1200 all max details, 16xAF.

No AA though, which is very gay indeed and ive also read it cant be fixed, not even with a "chuck" patch (which is what I currently have installed)

Am I the only person to have really liked the game?

Nope, I think it's great fun indeed. The team's AI is a bit naff, but I find the shootouts quite engaging. Anti Aliasing would definitely be a plus - do we know if this is going to be in the full game?

AA is not in the final game. it's becase of HDR, only the very high end ATI cards can do HDR and AA if i understand correctly :/

seems strange that there is no AA, the game is kind of taking a step into the latest technology, but 90% are gonna suffer because of it.

i like the game btw. just have to wait for the first update (rumered June) for some new multiplayer gametypes.

The team AI is ok.
They tend to be abit dull when it comes to taking cover when under fire however.

Whats with the demo ?, compared to the 360 the graphics detail is equal at medium but the hdr is nowhere near as good as the 360.
Why is the crosscom just green lines, surely the PC can manage a true crosscom.
Very disapointing, like Lockdown and it even stutters badly on 2x7800gtx, obviously not programmed for dualcore/64bit/SLI.
At least my Oblivian is smoother than the 360, but lacks excessive hdr.

The game runs fine on my system - 3800, 2 gig ram and a 6800GT. I have had to put the res right up as I have just got my NEC20WGX wide screen monitor - so the graphics do not look as good as I thought they might, but at least I can play it looking semi decent. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to play it at all! If someone can tell me how I can get a frame rate reading then I will post so as to inform other 6800 owners.

big plus: The explosions - makes up for any lack in the graphics department

big let-down: can't take direct control of squad members = big big big disapointment! Would really like to just get hold of the sniper rifle for a few shoots sometimes.

Anyway. I will still buy as I think that it will be a great game once you know the dynamics of it.

Another one of those games though, that will look fantastic in a few years on future hardware.

For those complaining about graphics etc...

dont worry, this game sucks the big one.

why oh why must they churn out crap like this constantly. No warez talk!

Operation Flashpoint is better than this and how old is that? ( and thats saying something cus OP aint even that good to begin with).

play mario 3 instead. g'night.
