Street fighter IV cpu still at 3.6GHz but GPU overclocked to 800MHz.

I monitored my temps and fan speed through a 50 minute 4 player skirmish map on coh earlier 1920x1200, dx10, 8xAA and all other settings to max.

Results are below, max fan speed of 70, max temp 92°.

My Gainwards arrived this morning, haven't had much chance to play properly yet but i'm happy to report they seem roughly the same as the 5850s at idle noise wise, perhaps a touch louder but i'm really splitting hairs. I'll reformat and run some benchmarks when I get some time.
 
I just tried this benchmark on my clocked 5850, and my score and fps are a lot lower :eek:
That normal ?

AVERAGE: 53.99FPS
OS: Windows 7 Professional
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
Memory: 6144MB
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Display Setting: 1680x1050 60Hz 8xAA
 
I really wanted to try out the Prolimatech MK-13s. After a bit of reading I'm going off the idea, firstly because of the poor VRM cooling (Nothing good air flow wouldn't sort) but mainly because the thumbscrews on the back protrude too far out (about 1cm) and that would foul my Sound Card in the top PCI-E slot.

Yeah that's very low, should be over 100FPS.
 
Just a heads up anyone with a fermi will have issues playing Left 4 Dead 2. It seems steam havent updated their database and the card comes up as unrecognised. L4D2 will boot into the menus but fail to launch into the game. The only way to get l4d2 to run is to put the shaders to medium and then it will work, that is until steam/valve patch their game.

Really. what could that be then. i'm running the preview 10.4 driver.
It runs fine in bfc2 ?

Strange, maybe i'm loosing performance :eek:

P.S.
It wouldn't have anything to do with my CCC driver settings would it, i.e mipmap is on quality, aa mode in also on quality ?

Just a heads up, you'd probably have to search back and forth all over the internet like a yo yo to find an Asus GTX470 but if you did theres one in stock.

I had to put everything down in the CCC. didn't relise that had to be done :eek:

Got this result now. seem ok ? sorry to come in with the ATI results :rolleyes:

Thing is, it all depends what u have in you're setting, ie ccc setting, nvidia control panel settings. all the other settings, from below af in this benchmark also.
which will give different results :D
thought others would say what other setting they have on or off etc.:p

I be getting my POV 480 this week. so what settings you guys running below af this benchmark, and control panel plz :)

It's always good to have something to compare to so heres my results with a GTX 295.

8X AA 16X AF, all settings high including the ones further down the list (shadows motion blur etc)
