Credible review sites like Guru3D have already painted us the picture. The HD2900 for most of us is too little, far too late because AMD already forced us into buying an 8800GTS.

Now with the pricing, it looks like it's not a great buy for people looking for a brand new upgrade either.

Well, AMD/ATi could have come clean a lot sooner, instead of hinting that R600 would be a whole new concept in gaming, and well worth waiting for. I'm sure lots of people are in the same boat.

Look on the bright side, at least you didn't pre-order one.

Wow, and let's not forget that the 8800gts 320 costs 100 pounds less and consumes 100 watts less!

Com eon mate, anyone experienced in the hardware game and past GPU launches could have guessed the price would be around £275... not to mention other stores which shall remain nameless already had the price listed! Even at the same price-point as the 8800GTS it's still the worse buy as it stands performance-wise.

And not all the reviews are showing the same thing, some are showing exactly what people expected, performance between a gts and gtx.
