The Official Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft Thread

This game can truly kiss my ass. Had enough. The number of bad beats I've had in the last couple of hours. Must be 10+ games. Was clear winner by a mile. And then the game would turn on its head. Ridiculous. This game does not reward smart play at all.

Edit: screw this. Uninstalled. I've never played a game where fortunes can change so quickly.

And all those article that say luck plays a small percentage can refer to the first sentance of this post.

I would sat luck plays a part yes but how do you explain people like Kripp, Kolento, Amaz and Trump if it is mostly luck based as you are saying?

Then they must generate their own luck repeatedly. Admittedly you can watch and Luck does play a factor but watching Trump and have him talk through his decisions that he makes may not make sense at the time but after another 1-3 turns you can see why he made such a decision, That is not luck.. It is knowing the current meta, Knowing your opponent and playing around the potential cards that they are likely to have.

I know mate. (Hence the /rage).

I was just absolutely fuming last night. I uninstalled it from my iPad.

And then this morning just before I left for work, I left my iPad to install it again :p

Gonna make a point to sit down and read some theory, watch some videos.

The problem I have with this game, is that in some games you think, "right this is going to be a long match, thing longer term, dont sacrafice cards on small fish in the early game when they could be more useful later on".

And then I get clobbered by turn 4/5 by a hunter on steroids.

This what makes the game so frustrating to me, you have a plan in your head, and your opponent just plays a different type of play which you cannot counter. To me there is the luck, in the sense that if you pick one style of play right at the beginning, by the time you discovered what your opponent is doing, its too late to adapt to his strategy.

It really does depend on the match up. Sometimes I am willing to sacrifice minions, others I look for the better or funky plays to try and maintain board control while ensuring a single ability or hero power will not wipe them out the following turn, I know that is not always the case but I am slowly getting out of the mindset of just slamming a card down because it has the correct amount of mana to be played that turn.

For instance I would not leave a 1/1 on the board if I was against a pally past turn 3 if I could avoid it as they have a nasty habit of turning into 5/5 or even 3/3s now with the GVG cards.

I can fully relate to the rage, I stopped playing for months I was getting destroyed left right and centre, My brother then convince me to go back and since then have been steadily getting better (I can actually reach rank 16/17 now haha)

i quite like pally atm. i made myself a nice little pally deck (my own creation) which has varied results but i enjoy playing it.

if anyone wants to have a go with it then this is it.

He probably thought he meant acidic as opposed to Echoing. Acidic is used to counter the weapon you both get when you play blingtron. Harrison Jones is arguably a better choice for this though, But that makes it a turn 9/10 play or a turn 4 and 5 play.

Echo ooze and argus or as druid 4v4 king buff.... can make it a good card to have.

If you are having problems its worth using the add on that shows your cards remaining in you deck and the chances of them appearing.

This was how i got up the ladder last time

Thanks jas and Lodjik. (Yes I remember the first time Lodjik posted it but Im too lazy to go back looking through this thread :p)

Will give it a whirl tonight.

Tempted to buy another 40 packs... any itunes voucher deals going on?

you don't need any more packs in fact trumps classic f2p should get you up the ladder.

Most times I lose it's close or I know where i made my mistake.

Didn't you get to 13 last month?

Hate the beginning of the season. Decks that got you super high in the previous season seem like junk until the phase of mad rushers settles down a bit. You almost have to join em to beat em which im trying hard not to do.
