The Official Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft Thread

Decided to try this today (and then discovered it's now on iPhone so that could get bad). Enjoying it so far just working to unlock all the characters. Never really played a trading card game before but hopefully I can get into this online and not be utterly overwhelmed/destroyed.
 
Ok installed on iPhone, damn it actually works VERY well!

Haha! Won my first game on the iPhone! You also get a pack for playing on the iPhone :)

I'm fairly excited for Flamewaker (Mage) and the potential for Dragon Paladin to be a thing.

Going to have to take a break from this game to concentrate on Uni exams but am going to push for Top 100 & some WC Qualifying points this summer just for the crack. Good result last month - getting there:

If you enjoy the game stick with it and don't be discouraged. Remember there are a lot of people who have been playing this for 12-18 months already and experience counts for a lot in this game.

It worked for me. Changing password auto refreshes the account. I would submit a ticket to Blizzard CS.

FYI for people who didnt know. the mobile app is out now for both android and iphone.

yes mobile, not just tablet.

im finding ranked to be really difficult at the moment :(
 
It appears the Meta may be changing again(Either that Or I suck). I am not sure what it is but I was doing OK last season with my Handlock and this season just getting smashed. Think I am rank 19 and struggling already.

I've been using the same exact deck with no changes for about 6 weeks now just to grind out a 5th golden hero. I can post it if people are interested - it's nothing special. What are you playing with?

Handlock loses to many of the faster decks unless you draw perfectly especially in a Face Hunter meta. Great for tournies but not so great for ladder atm.

yeah would love to see what your using.

im using a druid deck which is mostly based on one you previously posted i believe (might be a couple of legendary differences as i dont have them all)
 
Just started playing this whats the best things to do as a complete starter.

I've unlocked all the starter mage cards from doing solo and then won 3 ranked games as warrior so have a couple of extra cards for him.

Is it best to just grind up the ranks and get a bit of experience with all the classes before worrying about building specific decks?
 
My advice from experience:

- Watch some streamers on Twitch. Trump is especially good for learning due to the way in which he explains his thoughts and moves. Massan, Forsen Savjz also worth a watch

- Buy the solo adventures - from these you get a whole host of very important cards to build decks with

- If you can afford it, drop some cash on some card packs. Not as important as the solo-adventures are there are many very good F2P decks out there, but you will get some nicer cards that are simply just "better"

- There are quick a few sites that have some half-decent deck lists on (icy-veins) that can be build with free or cheap cards. Check these out to get started.

Add the people who have listed their BattleNet ID in here for some matches or tutoring, think mines further up somewhere

Get all heroes to level 10 and unlock all heroes, this will get you two packs. Also defeat all heroes on expert (just go through them one by one) for 1 more pack.

And I hate to say this but if you're serious in any way about the game pay for the Naxxramas expansion now which gets you a load of cards including some good legendries. Sam also applies for the new Blackrock Mountain.

Pick either a cheap hunter deck, warlock zoo or put together a mage deck as soon as possible and grind out the daily quests.

The big control decks are expensive to get working, requiring lots of legendries and rares.
