The Official Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft Thread

My Arena runs so far have been very very bad. I guess its just a learning curve though as I guess I just haven't figured out how to build a decent deck. I paid for 1 arena entry just to get the golden card (Even if I don't get it refunded it was £1.50 so hardly breaking the bank)

Think the most I have won in Arena is 2-3 :(

Totalbiscuit's "Lord of the Arena" and Caravelgaming's "Random Arena" series' on youtube offer great insight on how to construct arena decks. I learned a lot from those before I got my beta key.

Might be better off sticking with standard games till you've tweaked your own decks enough that you know what to look for.

I remember in that Innkeepers Invitational tourny the guy who didn't like taunts so didn't pick any. Worked out for him in the first round. Second round he just got wrecked game after game with so many occurrences where he needed a taunt to actually have a chance.

Last I saw it was at around 24 legendaries and he still had no chance early game. You might crush people late game but he lost something like 3 games in a row before finally getting a good start to actually survive the first few turns.

Yeah I saw those to but since then he's gotten better at surviving to the late game... I saw a video the other day where he played a Ysera and then 2x faceless manipulators on the next turn giving him 3 Yseras at the same time and getting 3 dream cards every turn

I think if you pay real cash it gets refunded to you as gold when they do a reset, so you don't lose it (and can just buy 1000s of packs at once right off the bat :D)

Blizzard have stated that they have no plans for another wipe, yes that could mean there will be another one but it is unlikely.

I was unaware of this and it got me very annoyed because I got a Golden Tiron Fordring (spelling) card and disenchanted it along with all the paladin cards I had got (don't like the paladin) thinking that it didn't really matter because it would have been wiped anyway.

Apparently, the devs have stated that there will be no further card wipes before release.

I think not having a wipe before release is weird.

Considering it is still in closed beta, and having a large card pool from which to make decks is such a massive advantage - it is going to be much tougher on new players when the game goes fully live, which is very un-Blizzard like.

That's bull :( I've disenchanted loads of cards and crafted some crappy cards because I thought its beta..... screw it will all be wiped come "retail release". Because like thats generally what happens with every single game in Beta I have ever been in.

Also as mention gives all those in the Beta a huge starting advantage over those who don't get in.

Meh MEH MEH !!! Bring on Hex !

It was stated a long time ago that there wouldn't be another wipe, considering everyone will get into the beta anyway it makes no difference, if they did wipe people will just spend the gold they got back and will be where they were before anyway?

I have been watching them I just think I am being a tad retarded when building the decks and getting carried away lol

I have a pretty good priest deck that I win way more than I lose on but as of yet Priest hasn't actually come up in Arena for me

odd its only EU server

I always thought when playing D3 a lot back in the day - that it was prob quite easy to fix the problem and get servers back up and running - but getting them back in sync, and recover peoples' progress was far more difficult

especially with games that people "buy" stuff for
