I'm still trucking with the same Midrange Hunter from last season, but I've swapped the 2x freezing traps for 1x explosive and 1x mis-direction since it seems lately bouncing things back to people's hands is a recipe for disaster... And of course I swapped my 1x Stormwind Champ for Dr.Boom...

When dust allows I was planning to try swapping in a few of the TGT cards to see how they do - maybe sub 1 ram wrangler for 1 hound master... possibly try 1 kings elk for 1 haunted creeper...
 
Stop switching decks and give each one a much longer run before you decide it isn't working... I was stuck at ~18 where I started the season for the last few days but then randomly had a good streak up to ~15 earlier... Eventually a decent deck will get its wins and climb - gotta perservere
 
Define longer run.

If am winning 50% of my games after 20 games then that deck obviously isnt working well enough, If I am losing 75% of my games after 10 games then Id say the same.
 
That seems reasonable - I just know some players seem to madly switch between a bunch of different decks every-other-game they lose and then wonder why they aren't climbing the ladder very well...

i generally switch between 2 decks based on the opponents im playing. never more than that though.

after saying i hadnt had a good run ive gone from 18 + 1 to 15 + 2 without a loss this afternoon.
 
I'm really struggling against priests lately. They just seem to have too many cheap cards which can be massively buffed.

Normally play as hunter or paladin (no specific decks which is probably what my problem is). Any tips?

You probably just need to learn the match up. Playing around Velens and other buffs isn't difficult which is why Priest has been low tier for so long. The new TGT cards enabling Dragon Priest are more of a problem and now Priest is actually very good.

I believe HearthArena stats put Priest at the very bottom of the pile in Arena as well...They do not seem to be in a good place at the moment which is a real shame.

priest is in a very good position for ranked atm.

i believe the dragon priest is now considered a tier 1 deck
 
big game hunter to take out heavily buffed minions - great to use owl when they buff +2 health then another buff - that kinda can knock the wind out of them :D

filth

i used patron for a quest and had people messaging me giving me grief. haha.

was using it in casual.

it uses no TGT cards and is still top of the charts for the best deck.
 
I'm still around rank 14 with my Midrange Hunter... I took out 1 Houndmaster for 1 Ram-Wrangler, and replaced both traps with Bear-Traps...

Dr.Boom is still doing work as well - what an absolute monster card... he gets BGH'd a lot but the bomb-bots are still super useful afterwards
 
Hey Gents.

Currently following trump on his f2p priest after tournament release

I'm using his F2P deck from youtube I think I'm up to 18 at the moment.

however any of you experiencing lag and disconnects in game?

I have my ipad, laptop and PC and all have random disconnects and the "game recorded logging you out" message as well.

Also I've noticed since the latest patch that I can no longer add friends 70% of the time. Is there a new privacy setting that people can switch on.

I enjoy congratulating people on good plays (not griefing) and sometimes swapping decks or just finding out new decks that way.
 
I do enjoy Trump's videos and feel I've learnt a lot from him, however it does make me laugh a bit sometimes:

"My idea with this F2P series is I'm not going to spend any money, so I get the experience of a true F2P player..."

*Day 1: does and Arena match and ends up going 12 wins netting 300+ gold and 2 packs*

:rolleyes: Yep - that's how most newbies start out for sure
