I actually havent played a full game in about a week, I keep getting disconnected on my phone so am steadily loosing interest in this due to it being so damn inconsistent.

Every 5 ranks the chest upgrades to better rewards. So there are rank 20-15-10-5 and legend chests.

And the answer to your question is yes it saves your highest rank u reached so even if u drop down its no problem as it's recorded.
 
Try to hit rank either 5,10 or 15. The ranks in between are OK but the bigger rewards are every 5 (have slapped them in bold). Rank 5 gives 400 dust guaranteed which is a fairly big jump if you get there.
Rank 20 - 1 golden common card, 5 dust
Rank 19 - 1 golden common card, 10 dust
Rank 18 - 1 golden common card, 15 dust
Rank 17 - 1 golden common card, 20 dust
Rank 16 - 1 golden common card, 25 dust
Rank 15 - 1 golden common card, 1 golden rare card, 5 dust

The actual big jumps are 15 and 5. Rank 10 only gives 30 Dust over rank 11 and Legend is only 25 over rank 1, whereas 16 to 15 is 80 Dust and 6 to 5 is a whopping 280.
 
Highest (well... lowest :) ) rank is all that matters - you can see this in the quest screen iirc. 15 and 5 are indeed a much bigger jump than 10 but eh, I'll take anything considering it used to be nothing :)

It looks like it hasn't changed too much but it might be a bit more difficult these days - I'm at rank 10 right now and it's saying i'm the 9th percentile.
 
Just recently started playing, can anyone point me in the right direction on what to watch to get me to understand the ideas etc, ive gotten myself to rank 22 and 1 win off 21, but would just like to know tips and tricks, ive only really played mage as ive tried every class but just stuck with mage really as that was the one i got to 20 cards first haha.
Any tips are MASSIVELY appreciated!
 
Just google mage deck cheap and ud find sites that list a few basic but decent enough decks. Trumps isn't that bad on utube. Try crafting guides too. Disenchant not used cards for ones u think will be good. Also manage curve get more cheap 2 3 and 4s more than 1's 5-9.
 
My student complex has the most unstable internet connection in the world. I have no idea how i will ladder when I am almost disconnecting every game.

To make it even worse my laptop crashes randomly when i play HS as well. I just cant seem to catch a break any more. It's a miracle i reached rank 4 with all the trouble i have had lately.

you can't go wrong with trumps basic decks he presumes you've levelled the characters to 10 (ie got all the basic cards)

This should get you to 16-17 if you play right and trade instead of going for face.
