The Official Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft Thread

That's the thing about all the ridiculous legendary cards - a lot of them are very weak to silence, and most of the classes have methods of dealing with "one big minion" (hex, polymorph, siphon-soul, assassinate, shadow-word death, deadly-shot, etc)... Perhaps it's a little situational - you may just not get one of those cards when you need it, but if you get stung by Deathwing or any other big threat and you wasted a direct removal card on a weak minion earlier in the game then you've no right to be butthurt

How? I can't find it on the App Store, Google suggests it isn't out worldwide yet.

I couldn't get it on the iPad app store, had to do it through iTunes.

I'm completely new to Hearthstone so many hours tonight will be lost to frustration no doubt. :p

i am sure the arena hates me lol

ive took note of the last 3 times i have been in arena and bear in mind you get to pick 30 cards from a possible 90 offered and each hero roughly has 25-30 of its own cards at x2 or even more in arena

1st game i choose druid

i was offered in total

1x claw
1 x power of the wild
2 x soul of the forest
1 x ironbark protecter
1 x druid of the claw
1 x soulfire

game 2 i played as rogue

1 x deadly poison
1 x sinister strike
2 x sap
2 x defias ringleader
1 x fan of knives
1 x headcrack
1 x assasinate

3rd game and prob the worst i have ever been offered i played as hunter

2 x hunters mask
1 x unleash the hounds (didnt even get offered starving buzzard or scavaging hyena to go with it #0
1 x arcane shot
1 x tracking
1 x explosive trap
1 x snipe

thats it

yet i come up against players who have 3 flamestrikes or multiple powers in droves to the point they dont have to play any minions

that last game with hunter i played against a mage who only played 2 x mana wyrm 1 x grizly bear the rest were just spells ffs

how come some get offered so much more and some so less. i have a feeling if you spend cash you get decent picks and maybe its not so random after all

The rogue cards are fine (you'd never take headcrack / SS unless the other cards are a magma raider or something) and offer a whole ton of removal and tempo plays. The druid cards are a mix of early / mid / later (assuming you don't take soul of the forest because again, its pretty awful) so if you scaled your other cards accordingly this should be OK. The hunter deck is the worst but even then, it's nearly always about the minions you draft rather than the class cards. All you need to play hunter is early game and the ability to spam that hero skill. The arena isn't against you, 3 games isn't enough to benchmark. If you are willing to tell yourself the game is rigged after losing 3 arena hands you might as well stop now, ranked is going to be worse.

I am level 15 ranked I would not mind if I got offered cards that would at least join us with others but I didn't

Next time I am doing an arena pick I will video it and put here and you guys can tell me where I am going wrong lol

The funny thing is the best arena decks I've had (like the one I went 10-3 with) were pretty light on class specific cards and spells - it's surprising how well a deck that seems like it hasn't come out well can do sometimes - as long as you trade relatively well and don't make any stupid plays, try to anticipate what cards your opponent might have etc
