The Official Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft Thread

I call it a free win. Never have any trouble vs it with my priest deck which is mostly what I play. Pyro combos and auchenai give no problems really.

its not too great against mage either. with all their 1 damage spells and hero power.

i tend to use it at the start of the season to get to rank 15 or so. i then switch to whatever i feel is necessary at the time based on the opponents up to that point.

i dont know why you all curse zoo lock so much. Its a good deck especially for those who havent got all the cards yet as it gives them a competetive deck which is why i presume you see it a lot in ranked. Gives them a chance till they get more cards.

I think its because the aggro playstyle requires a lot less strategic decision making that control.

Definitely take your point about cards though, it is not the players fault that Blizzard decided most Legendary cards would be control oriented. (Leeroy, Mukla excepted).

im not cursing it. i use it.

its filthy still though.

zoo what now? :p still on the starter decks against expert in practice mode.... yet to pop my online cherry (minus the few friendlies I've had against a mate :p ). so much I need to learn/understand.

I managed to get 3 northshire clerics out last night after thought stealing one of the opponents. By turn 6 i had all my cards out. Nearly lost due to fatigue and him healing alone. Also lost about 10 of my cards due to hand being full. Was a strange game.

I still think the Warlock hero ability should be tweaked a bit. How about as an alternative the hero power creates a 0/2 'void' which gets destroyed at the start of the Warlock's turn and has a 'draw a card' deathrattle? Perhaps the -2 health penalty could even be removed entirely from the power?

Would like to see the Warlock deck styles being more related to the class cards as opposed to the draw/damage hero ability which gives rise to handlock and zoo.... Of course, the class cards may need to be buffed a bit to make up for any hero power changes.

get on it.

Imma tryiiiinnnnnnn.... but it's harddddd xD

like do i just go into play mode, non ranked and just play people, unlock cards n stuff and then build up a new deck? go straight to ranked mode with the starter decks. should I build a custom deck now even though I don't think I have many cards unlocked? (think my highest level is 13 on the mage deck? ... all in practice mode mind....)

Ranked will probably be easier than casual as you're more likely to get matched against someone better/more experienced in casual. Just dive head first into Ranked and have a mess about. First hand experience is the best teacher here. You can't lose rank between 25 and 20 so it won't be too discouraging even if you lose most of your games.

The new Priest card. Look at those stats! 10 for 3 is insane!

ahhh thanks guys :D I'll give that link a look and dive in tonight :D

For what it's worth, you have a hidden MMR as I understand it and it's applied in non-ranked so there's not all that much difference compared to ranked (except in ranked you'll typically be vs within +/- 2 ranks although it still appears to match by MMR too in some respect).

The things non-ranked is good for though is dailies and experimenting. If you badly mulligan and that handlock turns out to be zoo you can just concede and go again to try and get your daily win or whatever. Likewise, you can experiment with weird openers and the like and if you're getting stomped T4+ just concede and try again.
