Also bought it. It seems quite good apart from when you turn it off i lose audio on my main pc via the amp.

Read the screen at the start;) all gestures are on there.

It's double tap, then on the second keep your finger in place.

What is the point of using Splashtop to play videos, surely if you're on a network fast enough to stream one via the PC then you'd be better off just streaming it straight to Kalemplayer on the Touchpad or am I missing something?

How do you get a refund on an app you bought that doesn't quite do as it says.

I bought the Splashtop app for the whole reason I could watch my television which streams off my Windows Media pc. But the app tells me it can't support full screen applications. Which completely destroys the whole reason I bought it.

No one is suggesting that you use it for that purpose but it's good to know what the capabilities and limits of a remote client are.

Those that have tvcatchup.com working have you done anything special?
The main site has laggy video and from previous comments people have said the mobile version of the site works.
But when I click on a channel it goes to download something then trying to open it, there is an error message about MIME or something....

Any ideas? Not by my touchpad to give exact error message etc....

For anyone looking for a case, I picked one up in the US for the iPAD/2. Works very well with the TP, all holes are accessible (power, speakers, camers, mic, button, volume) and just enough bezzle showing to be able to swipe gesture.

It's the CODi iPad Smitten, around $65. Very good finish and comes with a soft push stylus too which works really really well. Not sure how easy to get hold of in the UK, but if you are travelling soon, or know someone who is, give it a shot.

Re the RDP app

what I am hoping to do is

when we have a poker game we link the timers etc to a screen in the pub from a laptop

I would like to be able to control the laptop from my seat

I thought this might do it but a mate says we will lose the display from the laptop to the screen as it disconnects the laptop user

is this correct ? anyone any ideas how to do the above ?

Splashtop works fine with both laptop user and tablet (from my experience with galaxy s and ipad).

edit: I don't know what happens with a second display though. I've only seen what happens to a laptop display or computer monitor.
