***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

Any nice way of getting files on without the USB cable? Everytime I seem to use it it seems to hang for a bit and moan that I haven't "ejected" it even when I have.

yea it's inline with the email that i want, some emails really dont look right without that!

No problem here either. Just got OCUKs email and it displayed just like the computer.

There are a few things I'm not a huge fan of so far...

1. The screen. In some ways it is excellent, the colour etc. (as you'd expect from IPS) but the resolution is quite poor, especially for web text. Why have people been suggesting iPads were better than 1280x800 android tablets?

2. The speed... Even with the patches it still sometimes throws a fit and just stops doing anything for a few seconds, or judders. The juddering is more acceptable because it normally happens when loading things. Guess I'm just used to WP in that regard.

3. The lack of any precise way of controlling the cursor... The lack of arrow keys annoys me with WP too but at least you can hold down and move the cursed accurately. With this you have to prod and hope...

Use a Box account, check first post for instructions. Think it supports DropBox as well but not 100% on that.

Having been using webOS for a few days... that looks so ugly and dated

One of the reasons I didn't go for Android. Its certainly not the prettiest OS on the market. What we need is the customisability of Android with the look of WebOS or WP and the slickness of WP and ISO (ISO) also looking plain and almost as dated as a lot of Android).

Edit:And the multitasking of WebOS! Just wish they would move the damn enter key lower, I keep pressing the shift key beneath it!

That's why I like Android with HTC Sense, it makes it look pretty and polished, stock Android is pretty ugly, as are most of the custom skins like TouchWiz, etc. As are most of the apps, too.

No problem with inline images in emails here

Have you updated WebOS to v3.0.2 and followed all the other instructions in the 'get started' thread over on PreCentral? Looking through the patches I've installed in Preware, I don't think any are related to images in emails.

It just works :p

yep, what kind of account do you have? Mine is a google apps using exchange, no inline emails show up at all.

The rest has arrived:

Now I have music able to stream from my PC to the tablet, I now need video. I understand that avi isn't supported. What work around are people using?
