That's interesting, confirms my suspicions that the thickness is more to do with HP wanting it to be thick than actual space constraints. There is so much spare space in there no wonder they could fit a dedicated bass speaker in it!

Sorry if this sounds rude, but could I repeat the question please for owners of kalemsoft full edition, does it work without a web connection please?

yep it does. We took a gamble on it earlier and its fine. Its a really nice program but the ui could do with a bit more sorting, especially for a £6 program.

Asked before but the thread is zooming along!

I'm finding the stock browser a bit basic. Which browser is better featured and supports gestures?

what gestures are you looking for?

at a guess i'd say they left space so that future models could fit more in and they wouldn't have to design the whole layout each time. this is the first so the weakest model they'd have planned. they could have (if they continued making tablets) easily seen what features become main stream in the next 6/7 months and then cheaply add them in.
