***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

yep it does. We took a gamble on it earlier and its fine. Its a really nice program but the ui could do with a bit more sorting, especially for a £6 program.

Don't pay £6 for it!!! Download the app and then purchase inside the app and it's only $5.99 then (£3.77). I did this on mine and my dad's Touchpads.

hmm I have paid for the advanced browser for tabbed browsing, but links that request a new window like any link from ocuk still create a new card! Any way around this?

cheers

Tom.

No way around this yet from what I was reading on another forum.

With regards to charging, if I use a normal usb port I get the usb drive option.

Yet when I use my usb3 port, I get the incorrect charging message.

IIRC my usb3 ports push up to 1.5a.

One thing I dont get, does it charge via usb when switched off.

Tom- do you mind checking if you are able to log into hotmail through the website using advanced browser? I dont expect it to work but who knows until you try...

Heres the link for getting Kalem Player for $5.99 (£3.77). Once you buy it then wait for a mail to arrive then you can activate the trial version and use it without internet access:

http://www.kalemsoft.com/site/purchase.html

Not sure why it's so expensive in the HP app store, I guess HP take a cut or something so KalemSoft would prefer you to buy direct.

how do I install the trial from the touchpad? I have downloaded the ipk from the website and it gives an error about mime type?

cheers

Tom

Not a fault with the browser, it's microsoft using silverlight and not supporting html 5.

It'll work using the built in email app.

Had to use the default mail app to access Hotmail myself...

Is there not a mobile site for Hotmail that might work?

ps3ud0

I just tried kalemsoft which I installed by preware, but it seems very glitchy? Is this the same for anyone else? Eg I couldn't get a tv to show in landscape, just portrait.....any ideas?

I don't get how anyone can build a browser that doesn't store passwords. There really are some nice features overall but there are some glaring omissions.

Or get the Beta for free, which works fine?
