***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

I'm trying to disable the developer mode password that I put in before reading the tweaks thread.

"The solution on Windows seems to be to use the novacom command from the command line:

novacom -r <password> -c login"

Where or how do I enter the above command?

You'll have to use WebOS Doctor to restore it, it'll download your details and apps again if you set up a webos account.

Sure it mentions that in the tweak thread. :)

FAO official HP Touchcase owners - Have you guys got a problem with stability whilst it's standing upright? Might seems to rocking, as if the bottom is slightly warped.

My fears are if I take it back to CPW, they won't be able to replace it due to stock?

This happens if you don't have the flap quite in the middle of the velcro.

anyone invested in screen protectors? looked online at argos and currys no reserve option, gonna have to go instore..

Screen protectors are the devil.

Lovely screen ruined by crappy plastic sheets :( Get a case, don't use it to mop the floor and you should not damage it.

I've had my HD2 for years and years and the screen is like new, kept in the HTC pouch it came with when not in use and not treated badly.

No reason to need a screen protector on a mobile nevermind a tablet - not like you can pocket a touchpad with your car keys :D

Yes, me.

I can take pictures tonight for you if you want.

I won't be able to upload them, but if you drop me an email I can send them over to you tomorrow when I'm back at work :)

This looks like one that covers the bezel right?

I thought the official hp cases were expensive even at £20, but now I am dissapointed I didn't get one, as I think the fact that it doubles up as a stand is v useful. I am hoping someone will make a cheap version with the same functionality - don't think that is the case yet though?

If anyone ordered a touchstone dock from Argos at full price, just to let you know - I spoke to customer services today and they have refunded me the difference, though this was not put through automatically like it was with the touchpad - I.e you do need to contact them.

I am delighted with this, as I have now ended up with 2*touchpads + 2*touchstones, and whilst I think me and the wife will get a few years use out of them as tablets, the touchstone is essential for what I imagine will be their future role -classy digital photo frames!

This is what i am doing. Managed to nab a discounted Touchstone so just using that when at home and im just going to buy a cheap case from poundland or something to transport it.

It would be great if you could remove the powercable from the back of the touchstone- I just want something to prob up my touchpad whilst I am eating breakfast or sitting on the train!

Cool will pm you my email.....

What are your thoughts? People keep talking about not being able to swipe properly but rather hear from someone who owns the case.....

Pics of the poundstretcher bits are on the way, soon as my usb port stops playing silly bugger.

Edit - Here we go, just a phone pic but good enough id imagine.

I cut a hole in the top, for the usb port of course.

Anyway both are a quid each.

They do a black/grey cover as well.

Do you think you could post a few more pics please?

Do you think that stand would scratch the touchpad if it wasn't in the case?

Would you mind giving us the full product name for each item. I would like to check if my nearest poundstretcher has any in stock before I pay them a visit.

Is someone able to explain the gestures that are available please?

Where on the tablet do you swipe (on the button at the bottom or the actual display)?
