Ok, because I noticed that they sent me an email with a link to extend the 50GB promotion to co-workers. When I click the link it says my gmail address isn't valid for the promotion and that I need to change it. I'm wondering if the same is true for the initial signup.

Edit: But I guess that isn't it since Castiel also used an ISP one.

I just got that too. In fact it is always asking me about upgrading to a business account on the account page

I have just sent off an email to Box.net support asking what the meaning is behind all this.

The account is next to useless with a 100mb file limit to be honest.

Did you put "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" on the email?
And "I SHALL BE SPEAKING TO MY LAWYER"
That would get some action.

Non-free email on one and gmail on the other. Sorry that's of no help :/

Only for videos in fairness. I hope it's your account that is an error and not the rest of us with 1GB limits

lol, no. Just a polite email asking why the difference is there between what people are getting.

Got email too.
Only lets you invite people using same email domain name, e.g. @blah.com

It's let me invite my original email address again...... EDIT: doesn't seem to work

I re-invited myself using that email, and it still gets you exactly same account type
Lite 5GB, 50GB Storage, 100MB max size.

I am a bit annoyed that box doesnt sync to the touchpad, you have to manually download every file, so what if i want to download a series of videos for a presentation, i have to do it manually, seems a little backward.

I also have the 50gb account with 1gb upload limit although I never use it except to upload screenshots from the device.

perhaps there was a time or number of activations limit.

I got my touchpad last Wednesday so a few days before most people maybe that is why?

I also downloaded the app whilst I was still on version 3.0 of webos.

Just saw a report on CNBC stating HP have been taken by surprise at the demand for touchpad, so they are going to manufacture more.

I agree, it syncs fine to my iPad.

If you add your Box account in to the accounts section in settings does it not sync up then?

Also why would they manufacture more? It won't sell at full price.
