You can use preader to read .mobi books, it's not brilliant but will do until Amazon sort out the kindle app.
Yeah I should have mention that app but its pretty awful and better to convert them IMO.

Anyone got a crack in the plastic by the speaker? just noticed one on mine.......
its apparently a reasonably common priblem . There us a bug thread about it on pre central.
unlucky though mate, I think your the first person in ocuk to gave this problem. (yet!).
is there a fix yet for the refresh loop problem on BBC etc.? Turning off/on flash all the time is a real pain.
How do you turn flash on and off?
none that wouldn't apply to any computer with WiFi connection really. Infact, you're probably safer using your Touchpad, as the chances of having a virus/exploit that compromise security are lower. Notice the absence of anti-virus.any reason why it wouldn't be safe to use the touchpad for online banking?
how do you turn this thing off?
Same as any tablet, hold the power button on the top and it will give you some choices on screen.
You won't harm the tablet or the touchstone but you do run the risk of image retention or screen burn on the display.Currently using mine as a glorified bedside clock until Android or more apps arrive. Is there likely to be any harm in keeping it in the touchstone for the majority of the time?

Are you sure the display can suffer from screen burned?
Anyway, anyone with a Pre 3 (or 2, or even 1) managed to use MyTether with the Touchpad?
Surprised no official app from HP, I'd probably be all over the Pre3 if I could get it to tether, or perhaps I'm still trying to badly justify getting the Pre. ugh.
