***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

There's a paid app called Wifi Media Sync 3 that seems to be quite popular.

Thanks for that PigeonK, downloaded it today (£2.48) and its really pretty good.

I suppose it does highlight the paucity of the App Catalog that there is only one app that offers this functionality (there is a free one called 'the missing sync' but the PC client seems to cost $39.99:eek:)

On the upside, while I was looking about the Catalog I found the 'nyancat' app which has amused me way more than it should

No problem. Was reading a thread about it on PreCentral minutes before you asked so thought I'd mention it :)

A few new apps are appearing every day but there's no real killer app that might make people support the OS and help change HP's mind :(

Now that it looks as if I MIGHT just have a TouchPad on its way, I thought it time to start reading through the 60 pages in this thread.

I am also checking out the other site mentioned in the first post, but wondered if there was anywhere else where new tablet users, such as myself should be looking.

Also, is there anything I should be careful not to do... or perhaps more importantly anything I should ensure that I do, once it actually arrives... if indeed it does! :)

Thanks! :)

I thought the same as I hadn't taken the plastic shroud of the adaptor but yes it comes off lol

It's exactly the same as the one which comes with the touchpad itself though isn't it ?

Not sure about this. I plugged my standard Touchpad charger into the Touchstone and got the message 'Your charger supplies a lower voltage than needed ...' or something like that. When I plugged in the charger that came with the Touchstone, the problem went away and the TP charged normally.

Ginga

Check impulse - coming soon to the App Catalog!

Yep :( am sure someone in the dev community has found a way to fix it. Hell, I'm still on this quick start page linked on the first page, haven't even read this thread yet :p

Interesting, I hadn't actually tried the two to see if it was different.

Must be that the touchstone needs a different input voltage or such due to the wastage caused by the induction process ?

Ok, so my touchpad is continually refreshing some pages on the bbc site even once they're loaded, like this one: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14868722.stm

Anyone else able to confirm they are getting the same thing.....or not?

I got a continual refresh with the live football and cricket pages last week. A refresh sorted out the football one but the cricket one just carried on. Very annoying.

Yep, the main pages (football homepage, cricket homepage etc etc) seem fine but as soon as I clicked on most of the actual stories, it just continually refreshed...sure someone out there is on the case :p

I solved my problem by swapping to a good tablet. :p:D
