contact hp they will collect and repair the case, when they ask about teh cracks, say it a well known problem with the case and you want it repaired

they will collect via ups and you should have it back in about a week

i had to state when i rung about mind "let me make this clear i have no way dropped it" she asked several times, i got a bit vocal with her

Not a stand, but Poundland sell neoprene cases for (you guessed it) a pound. They fit perfectly, and are perfect for transporting your Touchpad around whilst it's in a bag. For a pound, you can't really complain.

I need it more for the stand than a case tbh. Already my TP feels poorly made and that the screen could come off if I really forced it to at the edge. I must have got a bad one because I've looked at others and they feel more secure and glued better.

Shame no warranty replacements but at £115, can't complain!

I see Argos are selling the official case for half price at £20. Worth it or can I get it cheaper elsewhere?

Never mind, out of stock anyways.

Can someone recommend a cheap case for this that can fold into a decent stand on my desk? I'm not too bothered about the protection as it will either be on my desk standing or in my bag to work (ie. never take it out in public). The TP is already heavy enough itself as it is!

HP own site have them for £19.50 (£17.50 with a code).

Don't worry about getting it repaired i had mine done last week it took 7 days :)

More significant progress on the CM android port, hardware video acceleration and totally fixed sound.

What they are showing does indeed look quite impresive, but presumably there are still some aspects which require further work.

What then are the main 'showstoppers' which they still have to address, and (hopefully) to overcome?

Don't think there are any show stoppers left as they have all the major devices working just a few minor ones like the camera, compass and microphone.

Thanks... it would be good if they could get the camera and microphone working, so that we can use Skype etc.

As soon as they are fixed I might just be tempted to 'give it a go'! :)
