*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

I'm really not sure if I like the style of it. :(

With Windows Phone 7 coming out soon (almost certainly for the HD2 at least), which I like the look of more as well as the X10 there is way to much choice, the "Desire" may look a lot better in the flesh though...

I like the look of the Desire but I really can't see what it has over the Nexus One. Hardware buttons are the only plus for me. And since the rumoured price will be around £450 it's more expensive than the N1.

To sum up: for £30 less you can get the same phone plus voice-to-text/search, plus noise cancellation if you plump for the Nexus. Sounds like a no-brainer unless you're really really want hardware buttons.

Not played with the sense ui but I don't think it's worth the extra £30. Again, I'd rather have voice recognition and noise cancellation....but I suppose some people don't think those important.

I'm still curious as to how the sense ui affects how many widgets and apps you can use. Maybe with stock android someone will make an alternative -and decent- UI.

Sense has no effect on on opening apps, it's just a skin sitting over an standard android install.

Noise reduction is rubbish tbh for sound quality and as someone esle mentioned you can get voice recognition in the apps store.

ahhhhhhhh choices....im going to america in 2 days and was going to pick up a nexus one whilst i was over there, but this looks nicer! It'll be practically out by the time i get back too ¬_¬

Hmmmm

Tom.

Having been running HTC Sense on a HTC Hero for 3 months now, I'd say it's worth more then £30.. I can switch back to the original Android UI anytime, for the first 2 months of ownership that's what I was using as I though Sense would be some horrible bloat ware..

But since I've been running Sense, all the widgets, data aggragators and people centric spin on their excellent Sense widgets just make so much sense.. Sense for me is what elevates the phone well beyond an iPhone clone..

Why because they have virtually the same phone already minus a the UI which I'm sure they can use anyway albeit when rooted?

Cos they paid more for less?

It looks like this will be $100 cheaper (as predicted) than the nexus one if the price shown is correct.

well because if it was 420 euros thats £365 quid.

I believe to get a Nexus one you had to pay £420 + adapter?

Thats all

It isn't going to be though is it?

So the price difference is negligible at best (when dealing with that amount)
