Just seen the HTC Desire and Legend available to pre-order sim free...£450 and £390 respectively launched 12th April. A friend has the HD2 with WM 6.5 and I had to set some things up for him. First touchscreen phone I used made me feel right at home. May have to pick an HTC phone up sometime soon and move away from my old SE W850

Still 256MB RAM then compared to 512MB for the nexus one. Considering its running the more memory intensive Sense UI, that's disappointing.

As far as I can tell the two major differences between the Desire and Nexus One are the lack of voice search or active noise cancellation on the Desire.

I'm not too bothered by the lack of voice search. Active noise cancellation would have been nice but I think this will probably be my next phone.

I'm dubious about the accuracy of that article - Android 2.1 has voice search integrated into it and if it's not there natively then voice search can be downloaded from the Market.

The actual shot posted by the OP looks like the video above. They are the same phone.

The HTC Legend though looks really good. Look at the video on the htc youtube channel.

i can even get voice search using the google app on symbian.

I'd thought Apple would move to a unibody design for the next iPhone but it seems that HTC have beaten them to it.

Edit - sometimes better going in the shop too, my mate manage to blag £60 worth of free stuff as he already had a bband dongle with them. Just an idea.
