*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

I've been having a problem with my battery recently.

When its around 10% the phone shuts down, if I turn it on then it shows 0%.
I've used Battery Calibrator but the same thing is happening.

Is this common or can I fix it some how?

Ditto! Think it started happening after I tried a dodgy Chinese travel charger thing. Have stopped using it now, but the problem remains. Funny thing is, if you let it die, then start charging it again, wait for it to get to 20% or so, then unplug it, it'll discharge all the way down to 0%. But if you let it fully charge to 100%, it won't.

And no, it's definitely not normal for it to shut down at 10-15%.

Retard time.

I've finally decided to go the alpharev hboot route, but got confused. I've downloaded the CM7 hboot image but it won't let me burn it to cd, it says it's not a valid image file. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

You need to burn the AlphaRev ISO http://alpharev.nl/alpharev.iso

Run it, and follow the instructions.

The CM7 hboot image is what you flash to your phone once you've s-off'd using the iso above :)

edit: Also, if you're going to be using CM7 hboot, I recommend getting rid of your SD-EXT (if you have one) and keeping your SD as fat32. Unless of course you need more than 287mb data that the CM7 hboot gives you :)

hmm changed from villain 2.7 to insertcoin, its really nice apart from one rather big thing, video playback is crappy :/

Would this be normal with this rom?

I thought it was crap too. It could be down to my SD card though.

It's a known bug that recording in portrait skews the video when played back in landscape, though.

*facepalm* I wasn't downloading the actual iso, no wonder I couldn't do anything :o

Guys is there any way to get the HD camcorder to work on Cyanogen Mod? I've tried to S-OFF my phone but the ISO won't burn so i'm stuck with 1 ROM as it seems all the other ROMs need S-OFF to install.

Hope it helps.

Not that im aware of, maybe when the official 2.3 is launched and the devs get a new kernel it might be worth them including the hd cam, so far it seems a little hit and miss, ive got a 10x card and its almost ok :D

I'll have a go at this S-OFF when I come back from work. What's the best ROM that's as lightning fast as Cyanogen with a HD cam? I don't want to have to manually delete loads of crappy apps that i'll never use, I literally just want the HD camera enabled.

I've had this about 16 months now, and have just had to buy a new battery. I've found in the last few weeks that from the first low battery warning (amber) it can be between 5 minutes and 2 seconds before the phone powers off. I've not seen the red battery warning for months now as it just seems to go from 15% to off in moments!
