I was with T-Mobile and although their signal here was very similar to Three's, there was a signal switching issue between their good signal and the poor Orange one. So left T-Mobile and went to Three. BTW Vodafone and O2 signals were not great as I trialed them too. I was aware of Three's CS but hoped I'd never need it.
Yeah, for me three is dreadful, great when your in town or at the shopping mall, but awful anywhere else especially where I live. o2 where the only ones I could go with it that I knew would be good for reception and customer service.
When I mention the Defy has no problem on the same mast they then play the 'we've not heard of any issues with the One S' card. Not that the fault is with them to be fair as signal is good. Be interesting to see how the Samsung fairs when it arrives?
Typical
The people who work in tech. shops have no clue whatsoever, so dumb it is unbelievable.
When I was in the Three store a fella came in with a faulty BB phone. They were very helpful and gave him an envelope, though no stamp, to send it back to RIM in
They told him there was no chance of a loan phone.
I did try for a (paid) upgrade to a One X as I was having major issues with the One S - they didn't want to know at all - having just given an envelope away
Couldn't care less so suspect I'll be back at T-Mobile next time contract is up. That said Three service is quite a bit faster - when the One S takes advantage of it
Good luck trying to get your contract cancelled!
Make sure you have a wee snack and a drink beside you and bring the phone to the couch as you will be on the phone trying to cancel your contract for quite a long time
Will Samsung be coming out with a new mid range phone now? Too early for any details on the next Nexus? I'll keep an eye on the HTC update situation and see if anyone comes up with a solution at XDA. I suppose at the end of the day apart from us here and the peeps on XDA the One S doesn't seem all that popular, which is a shame
I doubt it, certainly nothing equivalent to the one S anyway and if they did be prepared to put up with the worst software experience ever, they don't care about anything apart from their flagship device.
No none at all yet, apart from their being 5 nexus devices, no idea what they will be like, I imagine each will be fairly different to each other though. But you can expect them to be similar to the GS 3 and X regarding hardware, google don't go for the top end device regarding hardware, just more of a new phone with up to date specs and with the latest android software to show off usually. Although they most likely won't have SD slots either as that seems to be the trend for them now and due to them wanting to kick start their cloud system (the nexus S, galaxy nexus and also the nexus 7 don't have SD slots)
Yeah, to be expected though when HTC do absolutely **** all for advertising etc. for the S and V, only for the X
TBH they really shouldn't have bothered with the S and V, as they have only made things worse for themselves, as Robbo said, creating a phone, which was suppose to be "mid range" but is easily up their with the X and GS 3 (excluding the screen
) and then the lack of support regarding the signal issues, which isn't doing them any favours at all for their support "image", not to mention how long it took them to release the kernel source code (this made things a lot worse for the developing community as well, the XDA folks go mad over this)
No, I was about to order and then thought I'll just buy one from the shop instead when they're out.
I think OCUK might get them too, they had the Transformer and that's made by ASUS...!
Yeah, I think they will, a couple of their competitors are selling the 16GB model. I guess will find out on Monday
