HTC considered those as faults when I raised a ticket.
Can't say I'm too confident about their repair service though. Sent it in for a second time on Monday and now it seems they can't find my phone anymore.
Also getting ignored whenever the issue gets escalated.
Black is definitely the better one I think.![]()
Way to go HTC! I've heard of similar horror stories of HTC losing people's phones. I really do hope they find it, why is your phone gone in for more repairs?
You do have proof that the phone has gone off to HTC for repair?
Seems nothing has changed from two years ago when BBC's Watchdog ran this story:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2011/10/htc_phones.html
The HTC One managed to garner a more than respectable four and a half out of five during our initial review period, but serious concerns over the handset's battery life meant it missed out on full marks.
But not any more! HTC has been busy in its smartphone labs and the latest software update pushed to the aluminium clad device has seen battery life greatly improved, while also boosting a number of the camera features.
The battery life issue has been negated, although it's not gone away totally. But many will only use HTC Zoe and the highlight reels at the weekend, and in doing so will remove some of the big battery draining problems with the phone day to day.
The good news is that the HTC One outperformed the Galaxy S4, managing to lose only 19% of life during the test, the same as the Xperia Z and 2% better than the S4.
The replacement they gave, the gap was getting worse in just two days to the point thick card could fit in it. That and the screen raise was really annoying.
I have the UPS tracking and it even shows that its been signed for and delivered so it's in no way my fault.
edit: I saw that link. Even read up on the horror stories on the FB page and forums. Was hoping they changed since then.
All companies are more or less the same as each other these days for customer service, only apple can deliver a consistent great experience![]()
i.e. Samsung are no better at all, just read through this thread:
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18507574&highlight=username_ManCuBuS
From reading around here (S and X thread) and XDA, they have definitely improved since that "bad" time.
You will always get the bad reports out weighing the good reports on the "internet".
And for what its worth, people who did have a very bad experience and took it to another level in the end got upgrades to better devices for free i.e. two owners in the S thread, one got an upgrade to the X for free and one recently got a free HTC oneI haven't seen any reports of Samsung etc. doing something like that especially since their service seems to be even worse.
Again, I have to say, not trolling or anything: It's easy to see why Apple is doing well, despite not having a mobile OS with as many features as android. If we are having issues with customer service here in the UK, what hope does people in other parts of the world have? Who cares about limitations with the OS when you can have good customer service where it's possible to walk in and get a replacement within minutes, rather than go phone less.
Wow that is an awful reply stoosh![]()
As usual they don't like to admit that there are any faults with their device or will hold of for as long as possible i.e. the sudden death issue that plagued soooo many people and still does (especially the average joes since they won't have a clue about updating let alone using that POS known as kies)
TBF to them though, it probably isn't something that the majority of customers would be reporting as it is mostly only visible under very rare conditions and not that noticeable if at all under normal usage afaik, would annoy me to no end though (if noticeable under normal conditions).
Yup definitely! "***** please! our products don't have problems" Might as well have just wrote that![]()
I can just about make the smearing problem out, personally I couldn't care less about it as it seems to only be an issue in the settings menu with the black background and a few other areas and from what I can gather it is only noticeable when really looking for it, haven't looked at other videos about the pink tint, red pixels issues but someone posted a photo of it and it is very noticeable on a black background.
According to jono8, the two handsets he has tried, the pink tint is very noticeable and whites aren't as good as his GS 3.
Phonearena have an article up on their site about it so once/if other sites start to report it then maybe Samsung will eventually acknowledge it as a problem/issue.
