Yes there's a setting to show the percentage next to the battery icon. :)
 
Anyone had any problems with their HTC One where is simply will not power on or charge? The phone was originally mine but my brother took it off me last week and it just seems to have died randomly. Phone is unrooted and on stock rom. He is out and has it with him atm, I'll get a chance to check it properly myself later but that's all he's told me.
 
Well mine arrived today and I have to say I'm blown away by the build quality of this thing. Up until now nothing had come close to an iPhone but in my opinion this surpasses it. The thing is quite simply beautiful!

Only thing I'm not massively keen on so far is the multi tasking in sense. It's not great but coming from a blackberry 10 device it's just awful.

I'll give it a few days use before I come to a serious conclusion but at least initially it seems a real shame that this hasn't sold better

I did once, cant recall what I did to get it back, might have left it plugged in for several hours if I remember

And unlike the rest of the world where their 4.3 update is still with Sense 5.0, the European version will come with Sense 5.5 which does come with handy changes (link to Sense 5.5 on the HO Max here).

Hopefully the UK networks will try release it on the same day as the unlocked version like they did with 4.2.2.
 
My one's top speaker has gone into distortion meltdown.

Any music or sound from any source played above 2 levels above silent just gives me a nasty crackling noise.

Only 3 months old :/ don't know if I can be arsed to get it fixed tbh. I don't have a back up phone and use the net a lot on a daily basis.

I got my one from phones4u, do I take it to them or contact HTC? What's the turn around times like?
 
Well that was quick, I didn't realise Sense 5.5 was ready for the HO already from the original tweet. Hopefully it will reach the UK handsets very soon then.

grrrrr so frustrating, my HO is being returned without any fault being found, peeved off now might aswell sell it and get something else, shame as I like the handset just cant live with that
 
Although I love the phone, I'm not a huge fan of the battery life. I'm probably still tinkering with it more than usual but I want to look at some custom roms designed to help extend the battery life.

With that in mind can anyone point me in the right direction of an easy to follow rooting guide? If anyone also has any suggestions on some good custom roms to try for better battery life that would also be greatly appreciated.
