***The Official HTC One Thread***

Got a small bug fix update first before the main big update on my HTC_001. Wow that was quick, I was still expecting a couple more weeks :p. Hopefully 4.4 will roll out really fast then...

I'm tempted to jump to the GE ROM however depending on how good it's IR support is.

Have to say, since enabling the power saving option I've seen a noticeable difference in battery life. If anyone is struggling, worth giving a go.

Just receiving the 4.3 + Sense 5.5 on my unbranded HTC__001 HTC One now.

That's good news, I should have delivery of my nice new blue htc One today.
I had a silver one on release day but dropped it back in July, sold it on as it had a cracked screen and that was driving me mad every time I used the keyboard. I've been using a SG4 since and am missing my htc One.

Fingers crossed they will roll out kitkat before too long, saying that Samsung were quicker to release 4.3, I've had it on the SG4 for about 3 weeks now.

Noticed that as well, it's like they mashed all the previous lockscreen options into a single mess. I also notice the music controls, notifcations, etc now appear on top of the clock instead of below like before, which looks a bit odd. Silly that you can't pick a seperate wallpaper for it now as well. And while using it today instead of swiping upwards anywhere to unlock when using the wallpaper lockscreen, you have to lift up the lock icon/swipe up the clock to unlock. The widget placement seems quite daft as well... there's a huge space on the upper half of the lockscreen now... why not use that :p?

Another annoying thing I noticed is the ugly NFC icon in the notification bar when it's on. I usually have it off since I don't use it much but it's annoyingly large compared to the other icons.

Connecting to the PC brings up another notification icon as well, saying "MTP mode is enabled". I already have "USB connected" so why can't they merge these two together?

Only thing I'm liking about Sense 5.5 so far is the ability to turn Blinkfeed off, changing the toggles around, and that the lockscreen music controls now show the album art as well (and works great with Poweramp). The gallery app also feels better to use now and you can pick what albums it can show.

Hopefully when the Android 4.4 comes out they'll sort out some of the little niggles, Sense 5.5 is great but some parts feel rushed.

Yay I can finally get rid of blink feed :D

Only other thing i've noticed so far is that when you bring up the open apps screen they are all larger and have no gaps between them now.

I'm just hoping for battery improvements!

O2 branded handset updated to 4.3 and new sense.

Surprised O2 got the update out so quick. Even the 4.2.2 update took a day or two after the HTC UK announcement was made.

Ah excellent, I see theres an option to remove items from the quick menu, I've removed the airplane mode in the hope it will stop me putting mine into airplane mode during calls, time will tell :)

I'm sure this has been asked a million times but is there a way to get more than 3 colums on the app drawer on stock sense? I know you can do it with a different launcher and or rom but im totally stock still, 3 is just daft should be at least 4

When in the app draw pull down to get the settings menu there you can select grid size 3x4 or 4x5.

Thanks but i'm not seeing that on mine?

Click my app drawer button im then presented all my apps currently in 3 x 4, swipe down press on settings but I cant find anything for grid size?

I got that small bugfix first too, currently downloading the new update. I'm with Three.

I had to go to
Settings > About > Software updates
though, it didn't automatically pop up.

So it's installed now. No difference whatsoever. Had to tell it to bypass screen lock and go straight to screen security though. I suppose it's good it put that back on after an update.

Hmm, not liking the sound of the new lock screen. I like mine - I have the standard time/weather/quicklaunch at the bottom. Will this change in the new version?
