What "statistics?"

Omfg.

Ok how about the sales for starters eh, then lets look at the audio output, cpu performance wise, battery life, dimensions and ergonomics. Yes the One X was very close but I'd have to say last year belonged to the S3 in terms of success.

It was that good im skipping the S4 and advising a lot of friends to do the same.

So high sales make something better do they?

The thing was a buggy mess when it was released with high battery drain, (Android OS bug.) the typing cursor had a mind of its own, and the phone would insert random garbled words when typing, buggy bluetooth, (Mate runs a phone shop this is his biggest cause for complaint, caused me nothing but problems.) awful colour reproduction on the screen, (Nice blacks granted.) and made from plastic that literally scratched itself on fresh air.

I know it sold well, but it was far from above average.

Well, it was pretty much the best or equal in every department (hardware/software). Then there's the sales.

I know you thought it was terrible but I never encountered any of the issues you had, I think you're exaggerating them massively.

The Bluetooth was fine in all of the cars I tested it in.

The Verge have updated their review re: the battery life:

Update: there's been some debate about the battery life on the One, and a few people wondered if I'd gotten a bad unit. HTC shipped me a second, and I re-ran a lot of tests to see if anything was different. First, I ran the Verge Battery Test, our standard test that cycles through a series of popular websites and high-res images with brightness set to 65 percent. The One lasted 4 hours, 48 minutes, a decidedly average score — it's slightly better than poor performers like the Droid DNA (4 hours, 25 minutes), but a long way from our battery life favorites, the Droid RAZR HD (9 hours, 35 minutes) and the RAZR Maxx HD (12 hours, 43 minutes). Streaming the 103-minute Ferris Bueller's Day Off over Wi-Fi from Netflix also burned 58 percent of the device's battery. If you're using it normally (which means relatively lightly), it should last you a whole day, but the One is a decidedly average performer when it comes to battery life.

It was that good im skipping the S4 and advising a lot of friends to do the same.

I've heard this before, I think you might change your tune when it's out. :p

@phones4u twitter is saying they've received an update on availability today, asking for specific details of colour/network before giving any response... that being said I can't see any responses other than asking for colour and network!

Edit:they're now giving delivery date for the black version as 2/4/13.

No phone is perfect, people will have problems no matter the brand, to think otherwise is just foolish. All companies have just as many problems as each other, could go through every single thread for each of their devices and post the problems people are having, even with the so called perfect phone that "just works" out of the box.........iphones :p

for HTC, it always seem to be hardware/build related.

for samsung, it always seem to software related.

For sony, it is both.......... :p

I would most definitely not say that the GS 3 was below average though, especially the GS 2.

EDIT:

And TBF, kitch9 does have a point with the bluetooth issues:

Yeah they do look quite soft/not detailed there, much like the 920 before its software update.........:p ;)

http://www.engadget.com/2012/12/17/lumia-920-camera-fix/

As said before, the camera hardware is there in order to produce shots at least as good as the lumia 920, the only thing it lacks is the MP, which should only be "really" noticeable for the stuff listed before i.e. zoom/crop.

If software doesn't improve the camera then it will be an epic fail :(

Just have to wait and see what happens over the next month or so.

if you look at night shots which are meant to be a lot better due to bigger pixel but they are not that much if any better than the rest..

DNA is a great phone from HTC shame on them and shame on them again for not releasing it here.

GSMarena quick look at their review sample, probably not running the final software though :(

http://blog.gsmarena.com/htc-one-is-here-tries-to-establish-itself-as-hottest-tech-in-the-office/

Some good news regarding the screen:

The technology behind the display is Super LCD3, which we already saw on the Butterfly and DROID DNA. It’s excellent and HTC has even found a way to improve color saturation slightly

Also, they say that the audio isn't the loudest, have heard louder  Not sure what would be louder than it, haven't all the other reviews and user thoughts said that it has the loudest audio to date?

Their camera samples compared to the XZ

Can anyone confirm anywhere that will actually have the phone this week available to purchase?

I know the S4 won't be nearly as well made but it may be out sooner at this rate...
