A meme that everyone here is apparently unfamiliar with :p

The online chat guy I spoke to earlier said it was actually dispatched yesterday so fingers crossed I may get it today if my downstairs neighbour is in to sign for it.

reason may have been it was well worn :D demo model but i meant it felt like polished marble and not made from marble :P ...

the one i tried switched on was next door in phones 4 u which the female sales assistant was very very helpful and it was quiet in there so she had time to show me the camera mode and other stuff it wasnt until the manager arrived from his break i presume from the back room that i decided to leave as he was very arrogant and i could tell that he wasnt happy with the fact the assistant was demoing the phone and not selling it...sort of put me off buying anything from there id only do it via online through them...

i did inform her that i wasnt buying and wanted to see comparrison to sg3 camera video so she could have said NO :S

oh and get this he asked me what id like if i was to get a contract and i said the deal they are advertising for £36 for 12 momths

well he called me a liar to my face and said there was no such offer ...i said look at you web page m8 and he said he didnt have to prove himself to me :D crazy...so i said thankyou to both and left...couldnt be assed arguing :D very poor service :D but the girl was very helpful ;) very nice :)

see the rainforest etailer one x in white and grey are now down to £411 :) were £438 yesterday both inc del.. soon be £350 :D happy days


whats everyones experience for returning these phone if a faulty one is found for say rainforest stor and phone dealers? fast ...slow or are they fussy about exchanges? thanks

Are we talking about Amazon here, lol. Ocuk don't sell phones, you're ok mentioning them with that in mind. They're very good, probably the easiest to send it back.

Unless you're linking to a motherboard on another website that someone's asking about then it's fine. Rainforest/auction site/purple shirt store etc are hardly the most coded names.
 
For those of us on TMobile, 1.29.110.11 has been released for branded phones. Had to search for software updates on the phone to start the download.

Assuming it is the TM version of 1.29.401.7, then it fixes the following:

Improved power management
Enhanced HTC Car user experience for navigation voice prompts
Camera improvements for HDR mode and video snapshot
Improved incoming call alert speed
Added device volume control when in DLNA mode (HTC Media Link HD required)

Neighbour not in so got carded today :(. Hopefully be able to collect it tomorrow morning. Annoying because it means there's a chance I could have got it ported over tomorrow but going to have to wait a week now.
 
Picked it up from the RM depot this morning. Charge quicker!

One thing I didn't notice when I looked at it in store was the position of the USB and 3.5mm ports. I use my DHD in the car quite a lot and it's nice and neat having both coming from the bottom. Have one from the side and one from the top is going to be an awful mess.

How long does the software update take? It seems to be taking an awfully long time.

You probably don't need this answered now but you need to take it off charge to update it
 
Yep, an hour later I Googled it and came to that resolution. It should at least tell you that, especially as charging + updating go hand in hand when it's new.

What launcher is everyone using? GO looks **** with the legacy menu button and Nova doesn't have dock gestures.
