*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Sure! I'd expect it to be the same as stock though in that respect.

I may be wrong, and my memory might just be totally rubbish, but I'm sure just doing things like browsing and checking texts/emails/facebook/twitter didn't cause the battery to go as high as 40c when it was on stock.

But that could be total *******...haha.

Does HTC still have an issue with us rooting?

Ultimately, yes. However it only says it 'may' void your warranty and not that it actually does.

Some people have managed to return their phones without any issues so you probably would be okay. Can't say for sure though.

Just a quick update, my phone which was left on the top of my car roof was found two streets away unscratched and undamaged thanks to the leather pouch case. Just bought the person a bottle of whisky for their honesty - well chuffed! :D

When are we likely to see new radios for the phone, anyone know?

until S-OFF

robbo you know whats crazy about them dots? well there no reason a facility cant be implemented to turn the feature off.

the new lg quad core tegra 3 phone out this month has an option to deactivate it in the developers section ...seen that in a preview

cant see why its not been sent in an OTA ??

so what the hell are u suppose to use for the menu key if you get rid of it? the htc one x doesnt have a hard key for the menu

Yes, HTC should do that too.

The multitasking button acts as the menu button, long press home button for multitasking.

The new base will include a setting to change recent apps button into a menu button and long press for recent apps. It's also packing 4.0.4 :)

Currently running this test release via Footballs rom it is excellent!

New kernel and radio work well.

It now seems faster, smoother and overall great. Too early to tell battery life but so far seems a tad better than 1.2.9.

The screen is much brighter now if you thought previous versions where bright they have increased screen brightness even more!

The stock governor issues seem to be fixed and scale properly however slight lags in non optimised games still.

Well, it looks like my One X is going back to CarphoneWarehouse tomorrow. It has a strange problem with the screen that at first I thought was a stuck pixel.

What is strange is that in the mornings it is a bright white and being in the notification area at the top of the screen, it stands out like a sore thumb. By the end of the day it is barely visible and appears to be working. At least partly.

Now I have to catch it right to see it, for example, but it's almost like someone has stuck a pin in there and pushed the individual pixel backwards, as if it's not in line with the rest. It also looks slightly like a bubble under the screen, but pixel-sized. That doesn't make much sense, but there you go.

I'll try and get a photo, but I doubt it will show.

I just hope I don't have problems getting it exchanged.

Anyone else have any problems with the HOX and Instagram? If you take a photo (even with Instagram) and edit it at a later date by selecting it from the Gallery, then if it's taken in portrait then it crops the photo weirdly and also adds a black bar to the side once you go through to edit it.
