*** The official HTC One X thread ***

qHD? I'm pretty sure EE have those specs wrong. Should have the IPS 720P.

That's what CNET UK are stating in their review.

Lolololololololololo cnet...........

I take everything they say with a huge pinch of salt and for damn good reason to, as you lot can see from that last quote there :p

If they got that wrong, then they could have possibly got the res. wrong as well :o In fact, I put my money on it, that they did get that wrong as well! :p

Seriously though, how are they still in the reviewing business?!?! :p

Yet on the HTC UK site the One XL does quote the resolution of 1280x720

Quick question...without trawling through the entire thread...what's the best looking case/cover for the One X/XL? Got an XL on the way tomorrow and looking to see what cover would be best.

Good spot! Now you have an XL on the way you can confirm the screen specs for us!

Yup...I can confirm no problem at all...if it's the lesser res screen I can change it within 14 days anyway so the S3 is another option.

Nice, 16GB...OUCH!

Also I believe on the American site it's variable storage sizes, the Black version which Orange are doing seems to be the 32GB one, again this is something I'll be confirming when I get it...tomorrow hopefully.

Also GSM Arena has it listed with the higher res + 32gb

Will post up the spec screen.

Was supposed to receive a text tonight when delivery times for tomorrow but nothing yet, will probably just arrive however.

Got it on £18.45 p/m, 100mins, Unlimited Texts, 750mb internet, all more than enough for my usage.

16GB is more than enough I find, with unlimited data plans I can just stream music and video (well I should be able to but my Vodaphone network clearly sucks)

32GB would have to be the bare min for me...with 64GB+ being optimal.

I like to keep all my vidcam recordings on my phone as well as games, 5GB music, 10GB series etc.

Remember, you don't actually get 16gb of storage, more like 10gb as I think on the One S? Surprising how you can soon eat away at that storage. The drop box or indeed streaming music from 'the cloud' is good in theory but in the real world 3G is very variable and can grind to a halt very quickly  On a phone like the One XL, 16gb is plain stupid and short sighted by HTC

Recieved my One XL in the post today...quite the stunning phone as every One X owner will be able to clarify...but thought I would dispel the rumoured lower res screen and also the capacity ;)

So yup...it has 32gb (Not really though) capacity and also a 720p Res screen, certainly happy with it and will be keeping it!

Need to register for a new SIM card from the 30th however to enable 4G in the available areas.

Any need to know things for the phones initial set up etc?
