*** The official HTC One X thread ***

I don't get why the camera is so crap in low light, worse than an SGS3, yet it was initially supposed to have had good low light performance?????????????/

Sometimes in low light it is worse than my HTC Sensation was, that was worse in low light than my Sony Ericsson K800i !!

Anyone want a cheap one of these? Mine's on eBay :D

I was surprised that the low light photos aren't so great, they tout a BSI sensor which is supposed to be the great advancement in low-light, but it didn't really make a difference.

I should really try and compare it to my N4 before it's gone, thinking about it.

You should be getting the update very soon......

Some X devices in Europe have got the update, just none in the UK afaik.

TBH though, the update is going to be worth the wait, especially for the X. HTC are doing more than just providing the new android jellybean features, they are also improving sense even further i.e. the camera app UI as well as quality, UI tweaks to the battery info. section, task manager, gallery, SMS app, browser, keyboard and have USB OTG amongst other things.

The performance of the X has shot up so high that it evens beats the GS 3 with JB in benchmarks, yet the GS 3 has the better hardware.

Battery life as well as audio quality has supposedly also improved.

What annoys me is the way the X+ has been out for like 2-3 weeks now, which has the same hardware and it comes with JB/sense V4+, HTC could have easily updated the X a week or so before the release of the X+ as JB/sense V4+ will have been ready for quite a while. Exact same is happening with the one S and one SE, which has been released in Taiwan.

But then again Samsung did the exact same with their GS 3 and GS 3 LTE model.

Typical businesses, only care about profits and sales.

Odd, I tried my one x and my s3 side by side on the same subjects and without flash light the one x was much better than the s3, have to admit with the flash in low light the s3 was better
Nope. It's HTC. I have a retail, unbranded HOX with CID_044 which is the WWE version. No update.

HTC_001 here and same no update as yet, had toyed with the idea of flashing it but tbh cba anymore

I am currently using the RENOVATE 9.2.0 based on the HTC Jelly been leak.

I can tell you all that the battery life has doubled. I normally get around 12-13 hours on the stock rom but using the RENOVATE rom I can get over 28 hour with normal usage. I never experienced WiFi issues/3G issues or any software bugs on the stock so I cannot tell you if Jelly bean will fix this.

Info about the update here.

Was going to flash this but you need a certain type of cid right? Looks like I don't have the correct one: ORNG001

I don't know what tweaks you've done to your phone, but my battery life is also terrible unless I'm on Wi-Fi all day and I don't have auto sync turned on...

Same here. I've tried loads of roms but have just accepted that I won't get through the day without charging. I do use the device fairly heavily though.

I've found something odd with WiFi that I wouldn't mind others testing.

I have a router (Asus RT56u) that is capable of both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies. I have set up both on different SSID's and if I join the OneX to the 5Ghz band it munches battery like there is no tomorrow.

On the 2.4Ghz band it is far more conservative on the battery.

Can someone else with this router (or a router capable of 5Ghz) please try this??

Thanks
