*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Where is this fabled 12-month O2 deal (I assume I am being stoopid...) - I am currently in a 12-month sim-only with 3, but really tempted by the One X.....best I haev found so far seems to be about £440 handset on its own, or chitterchatter @ 15.50/24mnths + £220 (£592).
TBH, £440 sim-free is OK, but....

I hardly used my phone 2day while at work, bit of browsing and a few texts. The battery usage says 71% on screen  Crazy phone was almost out of juice when I got home. :(
Everything else is under 4% usage

Edit: 7Hrs 30mins run time for the phone didnt relise I could get display run time so I will report back on that next time.

Just been offered the One X from Orange upgrades for £32pm on 18 month contact with 400 mins, unlimited sms, 1GB data. They have also waived the £100 handset cost. Sounds like a good deal, the only thing that I dont like is thry add the 3 months remaining on current contract so i'll be tied in for 21 months in total..

Anyone got a better deal from Orange upgrades??

As I mentioned in my post above Orange retentions were useless for me.

Wait, you hardly used your phone yet your screen on time was 7 hours?

That's not hardly using your phone...that's over-using your phone and almost impossible?! Unless you typod 7hrs screen on time.

I nailed over 10 hours 'screen on' time with the Desire once. Fell asleep reading with the lowest brightness, lots of blacks and zero screen activity :p You can get some epic usage times doing this, even with LCDs.

Sorry, I don't think this battery will handle 7+ hours of screen time.
Neither do I!
I ment phone on time not screen but never mind. I didnt relise you could get the screen on time duh will test it again 2moz or something

I think it will be slightly better overall, but in a general sense, there won't be much in it.

It will almost certainly have a SAMOLED screen and IPS LCD is a lot nicer in my opinion.

If it has TouchWiz, I won't be interested. If it has a quadcore A15 processor though... :D

Hmm, just received my Grey HTC X one from Amazon today and so far I'm left feeling slightly underwhelmed. Feels sluggish at times, the interface is definitely not as smooth as my Note was. Also I can appreciate review comments about the shape and feel of the phone, not very ergonomic and has a tendancy to slip out of your grasp.

I'll definitely give it a few days, maybe the phone will grow on me but at present I feel I'll be exercising the return policy at Amazon.

Anyway to wake the device without using the top button?
