*** The official HTC One X thread ***

If it's already scratched I wouldn't bother with a screen protector now. :p

He's got a good excuse to change phones now. :p

Lol - So mean!!!!!!!

I'd rather not get anymore to stare at thanks.... Kinda hoping this one is faulty so I can swap it again haha....

Its a phone and moves around everywhere with me so I should expect it not to be perfect.....(Yea right)....

A note on the One X's handling, I too find it a bit "Slippery" although to compensate I grip it like its in a vice...!

I may have to invest in a case. I was looking at the darn thing slipping around my front passenger seat in the car instead of looking at the road!!!

Kinda hope so Robbo as it's really rather disspointing spec wise...I mean whats up with that funky resolution?

On the other hand i hope its true as it means i definately made the right choice getting the One X. :D

That's likely the carrier testing shell, at least I hope so anyway. :p

spec-wise its not leaps and bounds on the htc one x though which is exactly my predicition.

only way this can become leaps and bounds better is if its a 6 core cpu, some innovative battery tech that makes the phone screen time last 24hours in full brightness and possibly 1080p screen.

none of those will happen IMO.

all we will see from S3 is very very similar spec to a one X ie. quad core/standard lion battery, 16-32gb storage and 720p screen

Got my one X just now... Epic screen is epic... I mean really incredible!

Also Google have seriously upped their game since my last 'go' on Andriod (Wife's SGS I about 18 months ago).. It's very very nice now. Also the urbeats earphones are surprisingly good. Obviously not going to stand up to my Beyerdynamic T50P set, but not at all bad for stuffing in my pocket when popping out of the house.

2 things:

1) I want to listen to BBC radio using their app, but every time I go back to the main screen, it seems to close (the music stops). Is there a way I can keep it playing?

2) Can someone kindly link me to the best cases/ protectors for this thing? as this thread is getting really long now....

Very much appreciated!

I read a TechRadar review on this phone to have really sluggish and unresponsive touchscreen, can anybody confirm this..?

Rubbish. The touch screen is the best I have used. Very good and better than I expected. Maybe they had a faulty unit?

:o MISLEADING TECHRADAR! Thanks for telling me, I was considering this in the near future sometime and it concerned me ^^

vodafone gave me an awesome deal today on a OneX, its comming monday. Im upgrading from a Google nexus one, should i backup all my contacts to my gmail account? Will the OneX use gmail to import all my contacts?

Yes you should, when you first turn on your OneX it will ask for your gmail and it will sync the contacts just like any Android phone.

Cheers Robbo, also another noob question, seeing this new One X is just a straight upgrade from Vodafone, I am able to put my current sim from my N1 into the One X right?

The One X takes a micro SIM, the Nexus One is a normal SIM, so it won't fit...

Ask Vodafone to send you a new one (if they don't send one anyway).
