Hello, question for anyone who has got there phone today, does the phone come with any screen protector or case in the box?

Mine did not arrive in the store, ordered on Wednesday and it is showing as on back order. If there is no case and screen protector then at least as I have chance to get one. I was spoiled with my Cubot including a plastic case and s pre installed protector!

No case or screen protector included bud.

On a side note, I have no complaints with the fingerprint sensor. It's great.
 
I see I wasn't the only one to cancel an order and change specs slightly, bring on tomorrow!

Is there an app or something similar to help facilitate the transition from my in comparable terms archaic iPhone 6s, copying the icloud contacts etc?

Can't wait to test out the camera on my unhealthy obsession of houseplants :D:D
 
If anyone used a glass screen protector that works with finger print scanner, let me know, i don’t think any work so far.

May have to go with plastic one for time being.
 
Went to buy one of these earlier but my local CPW had not received it's delivery.

Kinda glad I didn't buy in the end as I'm still unsure if I really do need to change from my Pixel 2. Mainly because of the following reasons, but would be keen to understand the thoughts from those who have the Mate 20 pro.

  • I read a review where pictures from the front camera were cloudy?
  • The proprietary fast charging is annoying after I invested in a USB-PD portable charger. Does it charge relatively quickly with a USB-C portable charger anyway?
  • Have they fixed the Android Auto issue?
  • What are Huawei like at updating software timing wise?
 
Me and this phone were not meant to be, preordered on Monday from CPW where the lady in store said it would be delivered to store today (26th)

Never received a text so went in to find out what was happening given they were quick enough to take the £899 from my card, after waiting again for 20 mins the assistant just said nothing came in, I then asked politely when it would be delivered. At this point she just said when it comes in we will tell you...

I said this wasn't good enough and surely they should have notified me if the preorder was delayed, she then said no one committed the date (it showed on the system before I placed the order and the other assistant confirmed it would be)

I then asked for a refund seeing as they had no idea when they could fulfil my order, she then said we don't offer refunds....I can however exchange it for another handset, she simply referred me to the T&C's that were attached to my receipt at the time of order.

Unfortunately for them, the other assistant forgot to attach the T&Cs to the receipt so I simply stated they had miss-sold the product, she wouldn't back down so I said I would speak to their customer services due to the poor service.

I left and phoned my credit card company and notified them of the situation, as per the advice on their website and the facts I presented, they have raised a dispute with CPW and recalled the payment.

It's a shoddy way to operate, if I had taken the phone and used it or taken a contract I could understand the refund policy. In comparison, Amazon who I cancelled with earlier in the week to buy direct from CPW apologised for delay which led to me cancelling my order and offered £20 credit. I usually order online so I'm usually protected on the returns, there is literally no reason to buy direct in the high street given lack of protection and awful service.

I never wanted the watch but the wireless charger would have been nice, I will wait until it drops in price or wait for the next batch of phones and keep my 2XL.

Hope everyone who received theirs is enjoying them.

Strange my mate 10 gets security updates monthly, running the 1 October patch.
