**** The Official Huawei Mate 20/Mate 20 Pro Thread ****

Just tried my mate 20 with usb>3.5 adapter with my Sony MDR100's alongside my HTCU11 and they both sounded more or less the same. tiny bit more bass coming through the mate 20.

One issue that is potentially going to be a showstopper for me is phone calls over bluetooth in my car. It'll work fine for maybe a few minutes then the person on the other end of the phone says they cant hear me whilst I can still hear them fine. Never happened with any other phone I've had and will result in phone getting sent back unless I can find a fix!
 
Have to say, I'm really impressed by the battery on this. Usually around this time I'm around 10-20%, the mate is currently sat at 49%.
 
A few more random thoughts after a week with the Mate 20 pro.

Face unlock is surprisingly brilliant... seldom use the finger print scanner at all.
Enabling dev options and reducing the animation factors to 0.5 is a must.
Camera is good but not really a noticeable improvement over the U11 for general point and shoot usage. The wide angle lens and the 3x optical zoom is very welcome though.
The curved screen and general "long phone" form factor I'm not massively a fan of but theres no denying it does make it easier to hold.
Performance and battery life is excellent - really is a bloody fast phone with amazing battery life.
EMUI isnt perfect but I get on just fine with the gestures and the notification oddities seem to have settled down (though gmail notifications are still hit and miss).

Have just read the change log for the latest chinese update and it allegedly address call issues which if true is music to my ears as thats really my only serious gripe with the phone. Lets hope EE roll it out soon.

Got my watch and charger, have to say I love it if you can get away from the fact it's not android wear.
 
Any of you have snapchat? I've noticed that the letters u and y are bigger than everything else and it's driving me crazy my friend has a p20 Pro which doesn't have the issue so I'm trying to work out if it's my phone or Emui 9.0

Don't suppose the phone can charge the watch can it? Got the original Huawei watch and charging was PIA

Ahh missed a trick there. I like the original Huawei watch but I only ever use the notification of messages feature and like to change the watch face. . I gather you can still download new faces even without android wear?

It comes with a few, no ability to download extra as of yet.

I quite like the faces, most are pretty good and I don't find the watch laggy at all.

For messages you just swipe up.
