On Farage - i am sure they forced him at gunpoint not to go. A leadership election might have been a bit embarrasing. Personally, the Parties popularity is verymuch down to him.

On the socialist bile - there are extremists on both sides. It goes to show that far right and far left are the same thing. Selfish, patronising sociopaths.

On the Tory victory - what other choice was there? I will admit to liking approx 50% of thier policies if that helps.

On the Lib Dems - i feel truly sorry that it went that way for them. Its a sorry day when the only real centre ground voice is drowned out by self proclaimed nationalists!

Thats democracy

I'm going to sound controversial here and say that I don't think Farage is a racist. If he can get his house in order, there could be a real alternative there one day.

"We will never win the n-word vote"
"I would be worried if Romanians moved in next door"

I will take the founder of UKIP's word for it than he is racist, not that it matters because regardless the members are self-proclaimed racists.

Beyond that the manifesto is a joke and the party is a single issue, one-man band.

If I'm not mistaken the first was BS.

I would be worried if Romanians moved in next door too, not only strangers but not sure where their cultural disciplines are at.

That isn't racist. Fearing the unknown is ok. It's human nature.

Nigel wouldn't be worried at all he's just saying that to fit in with his voters. Nige would simply round up the offending vermin and have them fired by giant catapult back across the *English* channel, to Bongo Bongo Land.

what about the SNP fielding a student, and the student winning a seat in parliament - says a lot about how people were voting in Scotland - did they not realize they were the best thing that happened to the Tories, effectively taking Labour out of the game - essentially the Scottish wanted a Conservative government!

Worrying that a student with little or no life experience will be voting on some of the most important decisions in the country - luckily she will be little more than a pawn for the SNP leadership!

It's refreshing in a way as they obviously (hopefully!) voted for the Party instead of the person.
That's how it should be.

Careful there, you'll get people telling you he's racist just because he is and not pointing to any of his policies that make him so.

Policies have nothing to do with whether someone is racist. Even if the policies were racist that doesn't mean Farage is.

None of the BNP's policies are racist because that would be illegal.

You say that like MPs are usually experts in their field. A young face brings a different perspective to issues, and she will have the same industry experts to lean on if required.

Or maybe it says more about the calibre of the politicians and people of the UK at this time. From whats happened to the UK over the last 30~ years a student holding a seat in parliament is the least of my concerns.

Dear me, don't you know the founder of UKIP hates Farage, nothing he says holds any weight what so ever.

All the members are racists are they ?

The manifesto is actually very good and you seem to have an axe to grind to say the least.

Ok.
You responded to the question earlier with a couple of quotes that simply have no proof that Farage is racist, would I be right in assuming you think he is then?
For the record I don't like him or his Party's policies but haven't seen any proof that he is racist.

No, but the only proof of it is in a conversation with the UKIP founder Alan Sked:

http://www.theguardian.com/politics...-alan-sked-party-become-frankensteins-monster

When the UKIP founder believe Farage is racists then there is a good reason he is.

Moreover, Farage hangs out with a bunch of racists leaders of other far right parties across Europe including:
  • Umberto Bossi of the Italian Northern League who asked for immigrants to be shot.
  • The True Finns party, who requested foreigners wear armbands so they can easily be identified by police.
  • Frank Vanhecke of Belgium's Vlaams Blok, the party that was disbanded for illegal racist policies.
  • Morten Messerschmidt who was convicted of racially motivated offences

For someone who is supposedly not racist he has a lot of charming friends.

Alan Sked hates Farage because he believes Farage is a nasty racist who took his idea of a euro skeptic party down the gutters.

I take what he says over anything Farage says thank you very much.

I love confirmation bias...like how this picture is being shared on Facebook by leftie friends to show how wicked the Tories are, with sarcastic lines like "all in this together eh?"

...the problem being that picture is from 2004 and the order belongs to Gordon Brown. This, more modest version, was the delivery this week...
