It was a massively crippled version of PR, which was massively campaigned against by the tories, which in hindsight was probably a bad move, because AV would have benefited them based on the last election results.

Which is why I find it annoying when people say "the public rejected PR". They didn't.

Last time they did well but historically they have had errors of around 20 seats and they don't expect to be better this time round.

The exit poll is also going to be updated a few times through the night. In 1992 the early exit poll result suggests a small labour lead but the Tories eventually went on to win.

Yes but either way, to be blunt they're not 'Total BS', what they're telling us isn't going to dramatically change the situation - Labour will struggle to form a majority either way unless the exit poll is massively wrong and I just don't see it, Conservatives may well have a few options to form government.

Keeping big business and yes the millionaires that run it in the country is absolutely critical to keep us afloat as a nation. Driving them out would devastate us, we need the companies creating jobs and giving people work to STOP the poor getting poorer and into jobs.

do you have any evidence to back this up ? Trickle down economics have not worked

Does anyone know how its supposed to be? - talking to a couple of people living in outlying parts they claim they only had the option of voting for either the Lib Dem or Labour representative for this area and that was that for both local and general. (In town we had a whole raft of options).

Entirely normal that not all parties field a candidate in all constituencies.

Look up online the particular constituency and it will show who was running.

Thing is (if the exit polls are to be believed) the average guy has benefited under the Conservatives otherwise people wouldn't be voting for them.

I can understand your point of view but the poor don't get poorer. Or if they do it doesn't last long. The last Labour government had an unsustainable economic model, to balance that out some harsh decisions had to be made.

I'm on a Zero hour contract which is really straining my finances, hate having to rely on JSA to top it up. I'm glad i am still able to live with my parents during my studies otherwise i'd be stuffed. If the tories get in my JSA is probably going to go, the biggest reason for my labour vote was the fact they are going to get rid of zero hour contracts which would allow me to get proper employment that has guaranteed hours.

I also don't drive and have to rely on public transport which has been cut twice during the tories 5 year stint, we had to fight to get the bus back to an hourly service. First from every 30 mins to every hour, 6 months later every 2 hours. Only after a massive backlash they restored it to an hourly service albeit you now have to change now to get to town, which currently takes about an hour. It used to only take 40 mins!
