*** The Official iOS and iPadOS 18 Thread ***

It works with British English on 18.2. Not sure on 18.1 though, I thought more language support was added in that release but I could be wrong.

I'm struggling with battery life on iOS 18.0.1 on my iPhone 13 Mini. Before iOS 18 I'd get a good couple of days out of it; now, I'm losing 60% of the battery in about 15 hours! Tried restarting the phone and checking for background apps, but there's nothing obvious.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I had a similar problem on my iPad Mini but the iPad OS update totally fixed it.
Yes my battery is horrific all of a sudden. 15Pro. I'm at 89% capacity. 344 cycles.

Hopefully 18.1 fixes it.

Updated to 18.1 last night. Already enjoying the Clean Up feature in Photos. It’s not perfect but should reduce the number of times I have to open Photoshop which will be much more convenient.

I haven’t used any other AI features yet but this alone makes the update worthwhile.

I do hope 18.1 is kinder to my battery though (15PM).

Updated my 15proto 18.1 how do I get this apple intelligence stuff, enabled Siri, is it just a case of changing the language to US? Any downside to that, guessing a temporary measure?

Also what's some cool stuff this AI can do?

I updated to 18.1 this morning and my battery is on 8%. I’ve generally been going to be around 11ish and it’s still on 35%.

I’ve hardly been on my phone today as was helping my sister with her garden most of the day

Will see how tomorrow is!

Not sure if right thread but:-

Hi Reuben,

We wanted to let you know that, from 09 December, you'll no longer be able to use your EE shared number service on MacBooks and iPads.

Watch functionality, along with the Apple-provided iCloud number-sharing function, won’t be affected.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by this update.

What exactly does this mean? Will that mean no longer receiving phone calls on my iPad/MB if I’m actively using that device?
