*** The Official iPad (Early 2012) Thread ***

Just noticed two little dings in my iPad between the glass and aluminium. Think I'll live with it rather than possibly getting another returned one.
Is it on that very thin black lining that sits between glass and alu? I've got two tiny dints to the left of the volume rocker switch on that lining. Nothing major as it may have been me when I threw a remote on the bed and it bounced off the ipad :o

I hope everyone gets theirs tonight. Can't believe UKMail have failed people.

Quite impressed with what I've experienced so far. It goes without saying that the screen is stunning to see and use with websites rendering fully now. There is a slight yellow tint on mine vs my iPad1 but iirc I remember this being an issue when the iPad2 came out - adhesive or something.

I've also noticed this yellow tinge - anyone else? Will it go with use?

I told you. This crystal ball is never wrong. ;) :p

You were lucky this one time and so was I. :p:D

I had a chat with the driver and he is not a very happy bunny with the way it has been handled. There many others who won't be smiling tonight. I gave up hope at 20:00 and if we had gone out it would have been a wait until Monday.

It's the exact opposite corner to the rocker but sounds similar. Definitely didn't do it as I've been handling this thing like a baby since I opened it. It's so minimal that I would feel silly complaining about it but part of me is thinking about the inevitable sale for upgrading. :D

I want to hear your thoughts when you've had a play. ;)

Just a quick comparison between the iPad 2 and 3 screens using Safari and viewing the Gizmodo website:

Thanks for posting. That is the best comparison I have seen. Certainly a noticeable difference. Can't say I would upgrade my iPad 2 for it though.

Nice one, enjoy :)

What did the driver say, why wasn't he happy?

Viewing web pages is great, with the screen theres just no scrolling or zooming in needed, PDF's are a pleasure to view on a tablet finally.

Which app are you using to view PDFs?

I'm having some trouble with Adobe Reader and also with text not scaling to fit the screen, font looks blurry.

The bloke who delivered my iPad still had a smile on his face when he told me his truck was full of them but this was 09:45. Wonder what time that smile faded :D

Early impressions are good, the screen is truly stunning and the picture is so much more vivid and clear.

While installing a game and browsing bloody hell the thing got warm, really warm!

Probably didn't if he has a few of them sitting in his garage now ;)

They weren’t allowed to unpack the consignment when it arrived at the depot last night to get it ready for today’s delivery without managers being present. It was all done during delivery time this morning and so they didn’t get out until late morning hence the delay.

Well just bought the first season of The Walking Dead to try out the 1080P. It works great on the Ipad but Itunes says my amazing core i7 with 6 gig ram and 3TB HDD is not upto playing it.

I get the message "The 1080P Version of (Title) is to large to play on this computer" has anyone found a fix for this?

I got the sales person in the shop I bought mine from to open my iPad so I could check for dead pixels before I took it away.

Big benefit to me of going into a shop and buying one.

So no dead pixels, well happy as that was a big fear. No way would I want that after spending so much.

Mines perfect in every way :D

Bought one of those fake smart covers and it looks identical to the real ones but too afraid to use it (metal on metal) So for the time being it's going to live in my Belkin slip case (the one pictured earlier in the thread) which is an excellent case :)
