Mines shipped :)

Now all I need is a full body case like the official Apple case I have for my iPad 1 but there are loads of cases to choose from and you cannot really tell how good they are from a photo on the net :(

Yeah i didnt order mine with the apple case, as i want to see what 3rd party cases come out. Its pretty important the case covers the back in my mind. Just means though until i get that case the ipad has to stay at home.
 
Not all apps will go up significantly in size to cater for the new screen. Text will be rendered by the OS at the native resolution so it's only really embedded images and graphics that may need to be at higher resolution and will take up more space. Depends on the individual app obviously.

I do wonder what some of the larger games sizes will become in filesize. According to my iTunes, Real Racing 2 is 1GB, even something like sonic racing is 338MB.

That tweetbot author is deffo a good person to follow. All round decent chap with a lot of sensible, and sometimes funny tweets. He also mentioned the app before and after sizes of various apple apps post iPad3 release, stating that he felt sorry for 16gb iPhone users and it was clear to see why.

iirc iMovie alone has become a 400mb monster :eek:

I presume this is from China? From previous experiences, how long has it been between shipping notification to delivery? Any chance it might be as early as Tuesday/Wednesday?? As I need to plan to be in for delivery! I was originally banking on it being Friday 16th but now i'm not sure!

They hold them until release day even if they could deliver early from experience of the 4S
 
A lot of people just repeating the same stuff in here now.

Think for a minute of just how many iPads Apple will have to ship, that's why you receive an early shipping conformation, because they've got to get them to couriers or at least ready for couriers.

They won't be delivered until the release day though.

True but I think some of the 'worry' has come from the Apple delayed shipment notices that went to some people yesterday.
