I god damn love my Iphone 12 mini!!!!

I got it in a Mous Clear case and have one of their tempered glass protectors aswell. I somehow managed to get the screen on perfectly! Never done it before so really happy with it all.
With my useage the phone lasts a day sometimes a day and a half before i start charging it at about 30/40%.

So pleased with it.
 
Starting using my 12 Pro outside of the case. Risky, but being able to see the finish and feel the squared off edges is very nice. Also feels small in comparison to my old XS Max whilst the screen feels like it's no smaller.

Same here ! Literally the perfect phone. Hopefully next year we might see a mini pro. (I’m actually happy with the standard mini - but more options would be nice )

We can hope for it, I'd be the same I think I'd get the smaller Pro model if available.

I really like the feel of the 12 Pro without a case, it's nice to go back to that kind of design but I'm also too much of a wuss to have it without a case most of the time.

I had my x in a case for 2 years, then I went to swap the case because the original started perishing/broke so ordered another. Was working from home for 48 hours, didn't go out at all. Took a phone call when standing up, it slipped, went to grab it, knocked it, probably accelerated it towards the ground harder and killed a ton of the oled pixels on the screen! :(

The one day in years that it didn't have a bleedin' case on!!! That was nearly a year ago and I'm still bitter about it, lol
 
First IPhone - went with the 12 Pro Max

Moving from Android I am wanting to move my WhatsApp messages across. Are there any free apps that can do it ? All the ones I have seen look paid for

I was in the same boat last week and there were none I could find. There might be one or two in the dark depths of the internet but even the paid ones are third party and no harm but I wouldn’t trust them with my info.

I just made my peace with it and gave up. My WhatsApp was full of rubbish anyway so was sort of glad for the fresh start.

You CAN export your chats (one at a time unfortunately) as text files so if you need anything for reference you can do that.
 
Had a scare yesterday, I dropped my phone and saw it clatter across the asphalt in a car park. I picked it up and the phone was fine, the case (a clear apple one) took a beating though, two of the corners are now heavily scuffed. The phone landed face down too but luckily the lip saved the screen. I know those cases don’t look like much but they provide more protection than you think, who knows how my phone would have ended up had it not been in a case.
 
Had my mini since launch day and can’t fault it at all.

it’s first upgrade in a while. Was on the 8 for a long old time so really didn’t want a big phone.

battery lasts all day easily for me. Camera is just so much better. The only criticism was it was slippy as hell. But got a genuine Apple leather case in the same blue and all is good. No more panicking about throwing the thing across the floor every time I pull it out my pocket.

I used mobile trans software and worked great but you have to pay for it.

Yeah I'm afraid I gave up. I backed up the chats I cared about to email so at least I have the messages, and I can lose the rest
 
I went further than that and deleted my WhatsApp account for good! Most of the people I message are on iOS so I don’t need it anymore.

You can make group chats on iMessage yeah. I'm in the same boat as you, everyone seems to use WhatsApp, I hate it and anything to do with Facebook.

It’s a shame iMessage isn’t available on Android. I think a lot of people would switch ! I didn’t know you could group chat on it. Might give it a go.

Yep-tried suggested on more than one occasion that we should change but no-one can be bothered as like you-everyone uses it.

This is the biggest issue as it's just to much of an effort to get everyone over. I'm in a group of >10 for fantasy football and half of us already use telegram but 2 stubborn buggers just won't even contemplate downloading it.

Hopefully once this privacy settings come out they want to move.
