Ive had two apple leather cases, one for the 7 plus and one for the 12 pro and both look crap within a couple of months, so looking to avoide them this time.

Genuinely not wanting to pee on your parade but have you used this case before?
As far as Apple Inc cases go it’s pretty terrible. If you have, and you liked it, then fair enough.
For me, if clear is your aim then there are better ones out there. YMMV of course.

No I haven’t my iPhone XR clear case was made by Moshi and it was good.

Picked up the iphone 14 pro from the Norwich Apple store this morning, even managed to get a free car parking spot too

Pickup went without a hitch, now restoring the new phone from iCloud, the series 8 45mm stainless is being delivered from DPD between 3.00 & 4.00, good timing.

Might take a punt at that Spigen one. I ordered a cheap clear TPU £6 case from Amazon just to get up and running but I wouldn't mind something that has better MagSafe support. It's not too bad considering.

From reading the Apple one isn't great, it doesn't even cover the bottom = massive lack of protection and dust ingress point.

Personally, it's not even about the savings. If the Apple one was £20 I would still look elsewhere.
It's a shame really because it does look nice and their Leather & Silicone cases are superb quality.
