Woot, speak of the devil, it's been shipped!

Just went from Processing for 3 weeks then straight to shipped, skipping the preparing bit.

Excellent news, it took 6 weeks from my order date with Amazon until mine was delivered. To be fair it was due to arrive on the 17th of November but I was advised of a 1-2 day delay in delivery.

Delivery was attempted on the 18th of November but I wasn’t expecting it so didn’t stay in. I booked a redelivery for the earliest date possible the 21st of November and it arrived at 10:51.

Judging by feedback from others here, glad I resisted temptation and kept my 13 pro max instead of new gadget syndrome and going for the 14 pro max.

Very rarely use the port for charging, MagSafe Duo Charger is a major W, perfect for the desk and perfect for travelling.

Yeah no way I’d swap a 13 Pro Max for a 14 Pro Max, I came from an XR.

Yeah, the XR is bright red so I want something plain. I put a case on anyway, a silver one would mean less distraction for the case itself, if the case end up being transparent.

Erm, I can see it’s smoother but I won’t say the XR is unusable.

If I was getting a 14 Pro/Max it would be the Silver variant as well.

I still don’t think the iPhone pushes 120hz when flicking around the Home Screen / Safari. Looks more around 90 ish when comparing a friends S22.

What did you guys do about a charger? The iPhone 14 Pro Max doesn't come with a charger, but I've been using my iPad charger to charge my iPhone XR and iPad since 2019 when I bought them both. So, I sold my XR with the charger that came with it which was unused in the original box.

I will continue to use my iPad charger to charge my 14 Pro Max and iPad and I've got a wireless charger coming for Christmas.

Okay, after a day's usage, mainly just looking on the internet, reddit and Amazon app. No games or even used the camera.

The main impression is that this phone is just heavier and thicker than the XR. The screen is richer and nicer to look at. Apps are now opening immediately which is nice. Generally everything is just faster, why I upgraded.

Not used the camera yet though.

Also, got a Spigen case, jury is still out whether I would keep this or not. It's made very well, i like the texture back and also the texture sides. But i am not a fan of the shiny plastic at the top which will scratch. Also, still not sure if that camera cover is the best idea ever or the worst idea ever.





p.s. I think a black phone would look better in this case.

That case is horrid. That sliding cover would do my head in.

I kinda like the fact that it hides it completely. You can’t even see it’s an iPhone. Texture is good and feels nice and grippy in the hand.

I think Feek likes a naked phone but I just can’t do it.
