So I still haven't actually used my 14 PM yet. It's just sat on the floor next to my bed :p

I can't be bothered setting up my apple watch again, downloading music, signing into banking apps, bla bla

Lazy, I know. Plus, Trueplay isn't available for the 14 yet.

Anyone know why the battery widget on my iPhone 14 pro suddenly has brackets around it “(3)”? Can’t for the life of me work out why.

I seems to make all my big purchases late in the night and I am not even drunk!

Had enough of the XR today, especially since the new iOS 16. YouTube doesn't turn sideways automatically (no it's not locked), when taking a photo it takes ages for it to react to my button presses, also it also takes ages for it to know I've turned it side ways....the sensor might be either on the way out or phone just slow....either way, had enough, together with the battery now recently dropped to about 88%.

Ordered a iPhone 14 Pro (just 128G). Now I need a case.....what do people recommend?

Wouldn’t bother with a case personally. If you must get an apple leather one.

I wouldn’t even bother with an Apple leather case, the material they use is shoddy compared to what they used to use.
I had the official apple leather case for my 12 pro and after a few mths, it was falling apart.

The fact it cost me close to £60 was bad enough, the fact that within 6 mths it was pretty much useless infuriated me.

On my 14 pro I decided to go with a spigen clear case as it shows off the deep purple colour and is MagSafe as well. But the ring is a graphite colour rather than the ugly white ring.

So I’d go with the spigen ones, good quality and don’t cost an arm and leg.

You couldn’t pay me enough to get an apple leather case.

That's the thing, the Phone will go into my Brodit car holder which is a grip/clamp style so it will slide in and stresses onto both sides of the case frequently.

edit - went for a Spigen case for now. Less than half of an Apple or Casetify.

What's the easiest and best way these days to transfer one phone to the next? I've always been in the been in habit of using my pc or Mac or back up the old phone and then restore the new phone from it. But I notice you now have the quick set up. Does that still transfer everything across the same? Photo's files etc etc

Doing the direct iPhone to iPhone is the quickest way I have found, it transfers everything across.

Ordered mine from Amazon on the 6th of October. As of today, its preparing for despatch...

Also ordered an Apple leather case in Midnight as they have 17% off that colour at the moment so its £49 instead of £59. Was going to get the Forrest Green colour but there's not much difference between them and would rather save a tenner.

Have your old phone ready when turn on the new one, when you first load up, have them next to each other, then there is an option for them to just talk to each other and then everything just gets copied across. Including the wallpaper. It is very clever and easy and painless.
