So are you getting the 14 or the Pro? ;)
 
Currently on a 12 pro, debating whether to go for the 14 or wait until next year for the 15 with usbc... I think I can hold off 1 more year
 
I'm still on a XS from 2018 so jumping to the 14 Pro should be a good leap :D not sure why you'd hold off just for USB-C. Surely most/all of your cables right now are lightning?

They are atm, but I have a couple of USBC-USBC cables too. Plus will need new faster chargers too and looking forward to completely moving over
 
I normally cave once a year, occasionally I don’t even last a full trip around the sun!
However, the iPhone 12 was my first non-Android handset and I reckon the longest I’ve kept one in a long time - around 15 months. The only reason I gave in and got the 13 Pro Max is because deep down I always regretted not getting the 12 Pro Max. I have always been a big screen person, save for a couple of exceptions, namely the Samsung S10e and the iPhone 12.
This year, really believe (read hope) I won’t be getting the 14 PM. I have the two things that I sorely wanted which are the bigger screen and the ProMotion display. Plus, I reckon my energy company has earmarked the money set aside for the next 10 years’ worth of upgrades!
 
Going to be keeping a close eye on the 14pro - have an awful lot of JL vouchers waiting to be used up and this could swing me away from my beloved Pixel 5......
If the 14pro loses some weight Vs the heft of the 13pro! :D
 
I used to sign up to the whole upgrade every or every other year thing but we reached peak smartphone quite a few years ago now and I just don’t see the benefit.

I have a 13 Pro and had an 11 Pro before that and to be honest there is nothing between them in the day to day. I only got it because there was a convenient excuse to, I needed to upgrade a grandparent who was on a 5 so she got the 6S+ my wife had. I think next time I’ll just get them an SE and keep my current phone. :p

The 6S+ still works great and it’s on the latest iOS for now, that phone was such a brilliant buy for its time.

I know, hence the ‘for now’ ;)

The phones nearly 7 years old, you can’t expect it to get updates forever.

It’s had a battery replacement but other than that it’s still works as well it did the day it was launched. That’s testament to Apple’s software and hardware really.

I dread to think how well the equivalent Samsung fairs now 7 years on.

The last two times I went in store to buy on the finance plan and both times refused so sat outside and applied online and was accepted right away
