Are you getting an iPhone 15?

I'm finding the 80% charge thing just about gets me through the day, but I do notice the loss of the top 20% compared to my previous iphone 12. I notice that I'm now top-up charging a lot more often ... but cause of the USB C thats far less of an issue as I have chargers at home and work just lying there that I can plug in. The old lightning cable was a faff to swap between sometimes.

Glad I went for the pro though, combined with the Blackmagic Camera App, the video stuff using log formats is fantastically good.

A collection of wireless charging pads is the obvious solution ;)

How picky are Apple about the trade-in condition of your current phone? As per their terms mine has no scratches or cracks and is almost mint save for a some very minor scuffing on two of the corners.

As long as it switches on and works with no broken screen, you'll get what they've quoted you.
Thanks. I’m on the fence. Absolutely no need to change from my 13 PM but my brother got the 15 PM and I have to say it’s very nice in the hand - even the weight thing which, I don’t mind admitting, I was very sceptical about.
Apple offering £480 which isn’t awful and saves eBay hassle. Considering I picked the phone up not long after release for £780ish it’s not a bad return.
I’d only be interested in the white titanium model, did anyone get that, and if so, how has it faired thus far?

I’ve got the white PM and love it.

To be fair though take what I say with a pinch of salt because i pretty much love all my iphones, whether they’re purple, green, black or blue! I’d love them to release a yellow pro model.

I think the white one looks the best out of the options.

Well, trigger pulled - now just to make sure the Mrs is out when the delivery van arrives :p
It was the £480 being offered as Trade In for my 13 PM that tipped the scales for me - a quick look on eBay shows the best I could probably hope for would be around £550 so I'll take a potential £70 hit any day of the week if it means not having to deal with that.
Plus I have 20 months of purchases remaining on a 0% credit card so I'm still paying around the £30pm that would have been available with Apple/Barclays credit but without the need for another credit check. I could pay it outright but it makes little sense when the funds could be tucked away earning 5%.

Looking to upgrade my iPhone 12pro to the 15pro, as passing my 12pro along, my dad still has an iPhone SE (2016) still works but its slow, no new iOS updates and the screen iOS and the screen has a horrible yellow tint in the corners.

Anything new that I need to know about between the 12 pro and 15pro, what sort of new features can I expect?

Thanks

What's availability like for the 15 Pro Max 256Gb in-store? Only showing available for collection at Apple Aberdeen? Is Apple accurate for local stock levels?

Silly question time but what do I do with the return kit for my trade in? I’ve been supplied with a box and a UPS shipping label and nothing more. Do I now have to arrange a collection myself? I’ve returned items to Apple before but they always arranged for collection.

What do you mean? It should charge up to 80% and then if you’ve got an alarm set for 8am, it’ll charge from 80-100% for around 7am so it’s fully charged before you use it.

Unless I’m reading it wrong, it shouldn’t just be charging to 80%.

He’s talking about the limit to 80% option on iPhone 15s.

About 80% Limit with iPhone 15 models

With iPhone 15 models, you can choose between Optimised Battery Charging, 80% Limit and None.
When you choose 80% Limit, your iPhone will charge up to about 80 percent and then stop charging. If the battery charge level gets down to 75 percent, charging will resume until your battery charge level reaches about 80 percent again.
With 80% Limit enabled, your iPhone will occasionally charge to 100 percent to maintain accurate battery state-of-charge estimates.

I had to drop mine off at the nearest Post Office but it wasn’t a UPS label. Not sure if you can arrange free collection with a pre-printed label, but by default you’ll just be looking for your nearest UPS Access Point (usually some sort of convenience store) to drop it off at.

Hi

I have a 12pro 128gb with 92gb free space still, thinking of getting a 15pro but unsure on storage, would a 128gb be ok still or should I go for 256gb?

Just unsure if certain things take up more space on the 15pro.

Thanks

In short, no there isn't any (noticeable) extra space required for the newer devices. If that's all the space you require currently then 128gb will be absolutely fine - heck I could still survive on 64gb!

I was reading that videos on the 15 take up more space, something about pro res or something, not that I take many videos, but I might do one day.

Anyway I played it safe and went 256gb as had a 15% discount. I normally keep my phones for a good 4+ years.

Was going to get it in white, but decided on natural titanium.
