I'd say bad given the tone in his comment..

"We're dropping leather from our cases and straps because we've just spent 3/4 of the event going on about the environment and all that jazz"
Give it a year or so and they'll 'invent' leather cases, but they'll be uber pricey because you'll have to buy the carbon credit to offset the impact of using a leather case, I mean, its not like leather is a byproduct of the food industry and shouldn't really be expensive eh...

Failing that, how about take a cell sample from a cow, and then 'grow' leather in a lab and just make cases out of that...
Or, better yet, take cells from a human and use human 'leather' to create cases...

There’s a lot of chat of fake leather made from mushrooms shortly making commercial appearance

Took Apple long enough to add this.

Glad EE have eSIM transfer as part of quick transfer, so much less faff than the other networks.

Yeah, I wish this was the case. I changed my parents to Lycra mobile and I can’t get the sim across. Need to phone them. Can’t do that until later today - this was last night. My mums friend is getting her 12 pro to give to her grandson. Now he can’t get it. Total nightmare and I couldn’t do a thing about it.

It’s times like this where paying that bit extra for EE is completely worth it.

Or just using a physical sim ;)

Well, true but times are moving on.

I like that apple do the latest thing and force everyone to follow. I suspect they’ll get rogered by the Uk/EU if they tried to implement it here like the states where you can’t get a physical sim. It forces the networks to actually upgrade and spend some money if they want to have customers with iPhones. They’re the only one with that pull.

For example 3 don’t offer eSIM or wifi cloud calling - can’t use your iPad or Mac for phone calls. Sounds ridiculous but it’s handy. AFAIK they still don’t offer visual voicemail either and took an absolute age to do wifi calling the last of the major networks to do it.

I remember I swapped because VV for my work is essential and they throttle the roaming like crazy - or did.

They basically said just use the normal voice mail, I said that’s a nightmare when there are loads of calls with people saying their number at the end of it whereas I can just tap to call the number after listening to it or scroll through the countless text with miss call from this number and not know who it is then have to listen to loads of them to find it.

/rant over

Honestly. Are people seeing a worthy upgrade from a 14 pro max ??

Also I seen images that the natural is pretty much silver like MacBooks

Genuinely, no, I’m not even noticing a difference in the physical size now either.

I will later once I manage to get in touch to try get these bloody sims transported over.

strength and ruggedness test

It's definitely not as strong as previous designs, you probably don't want to accidentally sit on it while it's in your back pocket

It is pretty cool that you can change the titanium'a color by applying heat - I hope someone figures out a way to color the titanium sides without hurting the phone, it would look really cool like heat treated exhaust tips that have overlapping shades of blues, greys and golds

I’ve gone from a 13MP to a 15MP and even that doesn’t feel like a great leap. I think we’re at the point in smartphone evolution where upgrading every two years is probably overkill for most people.

And the natural titanium colour… looks like titanium, shockingly enough. Anyone who’s seen an Apple Watch Ultra will recognise the colour.

So basically it the same colour as the ultra. Ok that’s fine as I’ve the ultra but places said it more like silver

Going to give it a miss as my 14 pro max seems to be fine. The switch I won’t be bothered about.

USB c can wait

Removing the SIM tray would remove the ability to have a dual SIM setup, forcing an eSIM only is not a smart move. Also Apple don't force others to follow at all, hence why you now see USB-C on their phones. I guarantee they'll be the last ones clinging on switching back user replaceable batteries when that come back into force as well.

Yes Three do offer eSIM.

Oh wait, does the 15 Pro have a physical SIM tray in the UK?

Does nobody love the regular 15? Not seeing as many reviews on YouTube for them.

You can have dual eSIM on iPhones, I believe you can store up to 8 with 2 active at once.
