It can't charge at 45w but it's rated at because it pulls 45w when charging while at load. If the device is at idle and you charge it will draw 30w right. Now instead of idle, play a game and plug it in, now it draws up to 45w and the extra power is sent straight to the A18 chip, while 30w goes to the battery so your phone can fast charge while you game

What Apple should have advertised is that iPhone 16 can charge faster than previous iPhones while gaming

Got to say, although the performance and Geekbench is somewhat meaningless I am quite impressed that the single core on my phone is superior to my M3 Pro MacBook Pro. I didn't expect that at all.

Has anyone had reception problems with their 16pro, low bars etc? I want to take the plunge but I don't buy phones very often and don't want to buy a lemon. I read the antenna next to the titanium case wasn't 'ideal' and maybe the non-pro might be a better option??

Same, mine was a complete brick until this update but it's improved massively now.

Still getting a few touch issues on the lower right side of the phone but the rest has been sorted so I can just about type a message without appearing like I'm mid stroke.

Shocking that it was released in this condition in the first place but that's modern tech for you, alienate the people that buy products rather than invest in them.

Anyone got slow charging?

Last couple days I've noticed my 16 pro charges real slow

Apple claims 0-50% in 30 mins, when I've tried wireless and wired, adaptor and direct to a PC and I plug it in at 20% and 30 mins later it's on 35%

What power supply are you using?
 
Ran into another weird problem today. I have heard of the 16 pro and max having some downgrades in its refresh rate so wasn't sure if it's this or not - but had an issue where it felt like the refresh was 30hz and wouldn't change, was on this forum and other websites scrolling and it was very laggy

Then opened other apps and they were also laggy

I tried to see if I can find an app on the store that can show refresh rate to verify the issue but all I could find was an app that shows other details of the phone and in there I could see 96% of the 8GB RAM was in use, and it had a clear memory button so I pressed that and it cleared 1GB of memory and then suddenly the phone was fast again and no more lag

So seems ios18 or iPhone 16 pro has a memory management or lack of memory issue as well

What cases are you all rocking? I'm using a spigen liquid air but I've noticed it doesn't have mag-safe so I may need to get a new one since I've ordered a belkin verticle mount desktop charger

It’ll definitely be better than the Apple ones for drop protection… dropped my 15 Pro and the case saved the phone, but the case cracked - they seem brittle as owt and not great overall. Lord knows why I bought two for the 16 Pro!
